A look at the Adult Colouring Books and equipment I have bought lately. Not very unusual stuff really but things I did really want.

Thanks Lindsey, x ❤️ Hanna's book is beautiful, I thnk its one of my favourites, x I've not ordered the new Christl one, as I've hardly used the one I've got, I've watched a few flips, its very cute. I think I prefer it to the one I have. Enjoy yours, ❤️🫶🏻💗

Ooooh bargain! great spot! I've not actually been in The Range for a bit, I always end up buying stuff I don't need in there, so I've not let myself go in!😂 They have too much of the Decotime stuff, its too tempting, 😂😁 Wish I'd gone now!🤣

Thanks Doodle, x ❤️ They are lovely paints, I would recommend, bit more unusual colours. You can use them thicker like a Gouche, or thinned out like a watercolour. Schools always busy, but I've had building work in my classroom, ( Over summer) and its been a nightmare to return to, I'm still looking for missing boxes and equipment. Its just not made for an easy return. Hope you are having a super Halloween, x 🎃🖖☠️👽

Amazing haul! The book with the areas of resist looks interesting! Can’t wait to see a finished page in it. The Christmas house book is adorable

Thanks Amanda, xx👍 The resist book is a bit odd, the pages are a bit shiny, I'll have to try out a few different pencils in it I think, to work out which ones will work better. I'm looking forward to working in the Christmas book. thanks for watching it Amanda, xx ❤️🫶🏻💗

Thanks so much, Yes I will keep it in mind, I've only just got these though, so I will have to get the hang of them with skin first ( Hopefully!😉) I normally cheat and use Luminance for skin, as I know they do skin so beautifully, so this will take me out of my comfort zone a bit, x 👍😊

Thanks, yes I did notice they had the last one, but when I watched a flip, it seems to have a lot of repeats of images, from the books I already have, so for the moment, I'm resisting the temptation. ( Knowing me that won't last!😁) Thanks so much, x ❤️👍

Hi Wendy, what a beautiful haul. I love the Spooky book, the Nature book you got on a great deal. All beautiful books. Enjoy your goodies. The Rita Berman book translates to: "The world under the magnifying glass on land". I think the Harry Potter book is more like a fun coloring book for kids. On the cover page it says: "When coloring, hidden motifs and patterns appear", the book is called "Magic Worlds" and underneath it says: "The unofficial Harry potter book with magic paper". On the inside on the description page it says: "Coloring on magic paper. As you color, you'll notice that other motifs and patterns appear within the lines that weren't visible at first glance. This is made possible by a special varnish. Colored pencils are best suited for this effect. Felt-tip pens and watercolors smudge and do not stick. Erasers damage the varnish and erase the secrets. Surprises are also hidden in the background on some pages. So it's worth coloring it as well". So far for the translation. I don't think alcohol markers will work to get the desired effect. Hope that helped a bit.

Thanks Kylie, x ❤️ The works probably sounds better than it is, its not a great shop, they just have the odd good thing, but its mainly just cheap kids stationary stuff. Glad you liked some of it, x ❤️

Oh lovely, I'm hoping I find some time to work in Atlantis this week, her pages always take me ages, so I know it's not going to be quick. Its such a beautiful book, I think its one of the better ones in this series, x 👍💗🫶🏻

Yes, her pages take time but it's rewarding.I recon it is one of the better ones but from the new editions Midnight Maskerade is still my favorite@@wendyscolouring

Awesome haul Wendy, I got Natures Magic from the works too and I think I might get that £3 one when I’m in there next time, if available. Are you on half term now, if so, hope you have a fab break. It’s been such a busy term, I’m so glad I’m on a break now xx

I hope you show very soon christmas books too. You have great books I must say. I love Hanna K, Johanna B and Rita B books. Lastly book Vintage My Room is also one of favorite. Cant wait when you start coloring that now its 4 or 5 month when you lastly colored that book. Possible Im wrong month I saw lastly summer time when you colored that book. And when you show your own top 5 favorite illustrator artist coloring books.

Thanks Triinu,❤️ Yes the Christmas books and pages will be out in November, I normally get more time to work on them in November than December, so I will be making a start. You are right I've not done much this year in My Dream Room, I'm not sure why really, just haven't felt like it. It will be back in the new year I think. I have the Christmas book by the Dream Room illustrator, so might try to do one in there over the Christmas period. Top 2023 books video will be January I think. ( There will be some hard choices I feel!) I do enjoy the colouring at this time of the year, when its cold outside, its nice to be warm inside and colouring, x 😊👍❤️💗

Was wondering exactly how many of the fc black skin tones are also in the 100 set?!

Hiya, Ive not sat down and double checked but from what I've read, there are about 6 doubles if you have both sets. Why on earth they didn't put the skin tones in the big pack doesn't make much sense to me though? xx👍🫶🏻

Could you please flip through the books more slowly so we can see the pictures a little better. I want to determine if I want to purchase any or not.

Hiya, a few of the books on this video have a slow flip recorded separately which is why they will have been a quicker flip. The rest you can slow it down by clicking the Cog symbol at the bottom of the screen and changing the play back speed. Hth, x

What do you use to color with?

Hiya, generally I use pencils, I have a lot of different brands. ( Luminance/Lightfast/Holbeins/Arrtx/Brutfuner, etc) If you watch some of my finished pages videos, I will explain which sets I've used on which pages. I do use Metallic watercolours, normal watercolours and acrylics as well. its depends on the book and paper really. x 👍

Hiya Jessica, Yes I'm not sure why its taken me this long to get it, I think I perhaps thought it was too pattern based, but its not, I'm glad I've added it. The spooky book is super cute, I'm working on a page in it at the moment, but it would be a good colour a long book, as they aren't huge pages, good idea, x ❤️👍🫶🏻
