The 2018 hunting season was supposed to be all about the buck I called Holyfield. It would hopefully be my fourth and final year chasing this mature Michigan deer that I'd encountered dozens of times over the years. But he disappeared and the story came to a disappointing conclusion. Out of nowhere though, a new buck arrived, and a new version of the story picked back up. This time with the main character being a Michigan buck unlike any I'd seen before. In fact, it was the largest deer I'd ever hunted anywhere in the entire country.
