In this plan with me video for June, I'm showing you the one page daily bullet journal spread that is a mashup of everything working on for the past several months. It has a daily agenda, time tracker, goals, habits, and more. I also added in sections for lessons learned and daily gratitude. I've loved using this for the past couple of weeks and know you will too.
Timestamps for this video:
1:21 - Preview of the spread
1:52 - The monthly layout (with new habit trackers)
4:19 - Daily layout
9:40 - Full layout without my tasks & events
10:41 - What's in the download
The only downside of this spread is how much I've been writing down the same thing every day! So of course I created a printable version for you! Now if you're already on the email list I'll send it to you directly, but if not...
You can download the daily bujo spread here: mattragland.com/daily-bujo
Or go to mattragland.com/bulletjournalguy for the entire bullet journal productivity pack! mattragland.com/bulletjournalguy
This spread is partly inspired by the Self Journal, which I'll be reviewing soon! Check it out here: mattragland.com/selfjournal

I've been watching your videos for quite some time now and I really enjoy them. I was wondering what type of software are you using for tracking goals if any, both personal stuff and at your work? I'm building simpleokr.com an OKR management software. I'd really appreciate your input on this if it relates in any way.

I laughed in the first few seconds of your video - loved the humor of your intro. It's great to see a guy doing a bullet journal video, there aren't to many on you tube. It's nice to get to see a different perspective. I got some good inspiration from this video. Thanks for sharing.

I have been waiting for your video for a whole week and just wonder why it seems a little bit longer to wait this time... But great video again! The layout is very inspiring, and I've adapted it to my daily page. I make some modification, with the left page containing the time tracker, task list, and habit tracker, and the right page being totally blank for notes--my job requires quite a lot of note taking. This layout really suites me so well! Thanks for the inspiration!

Like these spreads and seeing your progress. Only thing your bars of effort seem so focused and consistent. Are you a focused person at work or do you not count if you get a call when you are on a task or something interrupts your thought. Or you do and you just flatten them out as noise? I find it hard to keep present all day writing a log without loosing focus and often I chop around tasks more than I would like. So I feel my hours are not honest to say work block 9-11am, when email and colleagues get in between.
@MattRagland
@MattRagland 6 жыл бұрын
Tristan Bailey I do stay pretty focused but that is after working on it consistently for months (years perhaps). Working from home really helps me because I’m able to block my availability from calls. That being said it’s easy to get interrupted no matter where you are, so starting earlier is still my best hack for focused work!

Why do you call it a “bullet” journal? Neither it, nor your methods (much of which I like, btw) appear to have *any* resemblance to Ryder Carroll’s stuff. I know his guidelines are just that, and not hard and fast rules. But there is surely some basic core to his approach - the index, the future log, the monthly log, and of course the bullets which encode meanings, etc. As I say, I like a lot of your ideas, but I was confused to begin with because “bullet journal” had an existing meaning, and nothing you said made any sense in that context.
