Today I am setting up my own Bitcoin immersion mining farm, this is liquid cooled BTC mining, which allows for higher Bitcoin mining profitability, and spending less electricity mining earning more passive income! How easy is the DCX enclosure and dry cooler install? I'll show you lol! Start mining yourself today here - voskco.in/tailsxch

I have toured some crazy Bitcoin immersion mining farms over the years and thanks to DCX I am finally going to start immersion mining Bitcoin myself! DCX has a plug and play immersion mining setup, they have options for single phase electricity and three phase electricity, in this video I am installing DCX immersion mining kit in my single-phase bitcoin mining farm. I also use Braiins s19 firmware which supports immersion mining because I did not have fan spoofers which are needed to when Bitcoin ASIC mining rigs are running in a liquid without fans. While this isn't a step by step installation guide, hopefully this helps anyone feel more comfortable doing a DCX immersion mining farm build. If you have questions just leave a comment and I'll try and check back and help with what I learned setting up my own liquid cooled immersion bitcoin mining deployment!

The install was buttery except getting covered in antifreeze! The lesson learned was that those hose clamps should probably only be used once and then discarded. I think the bolt stretches enough to weaken it - the whole system is about 30PSI/2Bar.

One of the biggest benefits of liquid cooling is being able to utilize the heated liquid for other uses. I'm in the process of going from air to liquid using water blocks and am running the hot loop first through a heat exchanger on my water heater, then to one in my HVAC air handler to heat the house, then finally to the cooler. I've been heating my house with miner heat since 2017, but upgrading to this new liquid cooling system will make it so much more convenient and more efficient, (no more constantly adjusting window fans and box fans) plus what should end up being unlimited and essentially free hot water (my water heater will now be just a storage and temp maintainer). Considering my power company jacked my rates to over .12 per Kwh during the pandemic, where they've stayed ever since, I've got to be as efficient as possible.

@@SamJones1337 I've got family in N.Y. paying about that. It's ridiculous. No mod to the water heater itself, just a liquid-liquid heat exchanger on the inlet side and added a tempering valve to prevent potential scalding since miners can reach over 140 degrees F and depending on flow rates and temps of the incoming fluids, the water temp can get higher then the 120 degree safe temp limit for residential use. The same setup can be used on an immersion system.

Vosk very nice deployment, happy to see you got this done, hope you got sufficient space to access and replace the pump if needed, also the difference between US 240v and European is as you know the US uses two 120v at different phases with two hot wires combined to make 240v, European 240v is from a single hot wire. Also the 30amp PDUs you got are amazing been using them for a few years now! Best PDU at a great price.

Awesome content! Got into GPU mining by watching your videos and now have transitioned to ASIC mining too. I was wondering if you considered using 50 amp breakers and PDUs. I am using those because I can power three ASICs running normal power mode at 3100 watts each or more (following the 80% power rule) while using 30 amp breakers I can only power 1 ASIC miner running normal power mode (3100 watts) if I follow the 80% rule. Content has noticeably increased in quality (and that's not a dig on previous content). Keep up the good work! Some thoughts: 1) Your wire management in the shovel triggers me. Look forward to seeing that install cleaned up! 2) You mentioned 7 of the 8 miners are operational (probably infuriating!). If getting the 8th operational requires physically removing from the tank, I'd love to see what's involved with that corrective action (i.e. dealing with the fluid). When life gives you lemons, yadda yadda yadda.... 3) Plenty of infrastructure to grow into - good time to buy more miners!

Every time I see immersion systems I always want to know about filtration. It's nice and clean now and there is a cover, but every spec of dust that hits that fluid stays in that fluid and after a couple years your exchange cooler is going to be holding all that dust inside it and it will be impossible to remove. I would have liked to see a filtration unit for the fluid going to the cooler.

Love the set up, but your quick comment about putting all the miners into the power supply and then closing the main breaker? I don’t think that’s such a good idea because you’re going from 0 to 100% instantly as opposed to powering each minor individually, which is a much easier load to sustain. Love the channel and your place!

@tomaszbuk9519
@tomaszbuk9519 9 ай бұрын
you need to know how much gas you have, and the quality of it - how many calories (watts) you can get out of it then you need to size the right gas engine for peak performance unfortunately, typically you will be running it with 50-80% peak output as it depends on the gas pressure then you will know, how many miners you can add to your mining farm one of our customers runs 998kW gas engine, with the daily power on average 572kW which is fine for about 100 S19 ASIC miners

Could you please compare this immersion dry cooler noise with S19 XP Hyd ... I presume for an apartment the hydro noise level is low enough, right ?
@tomaszbuk9519
@tomaszbuk9519 9 ай бұрын
S19 Hydro IS NOT for apartment first of all, it tuns with 3-phase 400-480V secondly - you need to attach it to some type of cooler, to reject the heat from the miner and it needs fans to be put outside the apartment if you need a small and simple solution, look for DCX Bitpod with 2 units of Avalon 1366L miners in it - the system ready for immersion with a small dry cooler

Yes, we have a video on this! I believe it's titled "How to Deploy Bitcoin Miners in Immersion Fluid," and it was posted about a month ago. We also just received the FogHashing C2 and will be conducting a review on that shortly as well. We are super impressed with it upon delivery. We also have a FogHashing video so be sure to check that out, and if you find our content useful and want a coupon code, please use our link! voskco.in/fh

the value of the cooling system you see in the video is approx. 8k$ it depends on the set of components you're willing to buy with it like special PDU, solvent, fan spoofers, flip kits, etc. - optional accessories, but niece to have them

6:16 not to code, should have drilled next to the stud, sleeved with pvc, strap said pcv to stud and then pass connections and silicone afterwards

there are special drilled hole fillers, that prevent bugs or moisture from going in, still allowing moving hoses back and forth of course ANY solution that works is better than the open hole ;-)

It's not water! It's dielectric fluid. Basically an electric insulator but in liquid form.

Thanks for the video and sharing the process. Is the immersion fluid you used commercially available?

Why call it a dry cooler that kinda makes no sense. Its just a chiller is it not?
@Colby_Attack
@Colby_Attack 9 ай бұрын
It’s basically just a big radiator. The other common setup for something like this is called a cooling tower. That flows fresh water over an adiabatic membrane which (depending on relative humidity) can cool the cold side of the loop to sub ambient temperature. The downsides is that it takes a good bit of water to operate and as the water evaporates you are left with a higher concentration of minerals in the remaining water as it’s circulated.

@@Colby_Attack Thanks man. Im just messing around I have my HVAC ticket. I just think dry cooler is the worst possible name for what it is. Thats all. Have a good one.

@@jasonb9629 I totally agree - in biking we have something called clipless pedals, which are the ones you clip into it. Thats what it always reminds me of. I think radiator is a better name for stuff like this.
