I love this idea Diane and I enjoyed seeing each one and I love the pages with all of the different ephemera on them. ! I'm still grieving my mother who has been gone ten years in October. She was my rock. I was her only child so you can just image how close we were. I miss her every day. 💖

I love each of these journals!! So great to see your styles. My favorite was the children's reader book. So nice to know someday your children will have inherited these and be able to see the funny, wise, serious, talented lady you are!!! My husband passed 12 years ago on May 29, two days before his 66th birthday and also do the same thing with before and after. One week before our 46th Anniversary. So I do understand. I enjoyed your journal shares and I think my favorite was the collaged list journal. You are doing great.

Always love your journals. I have one of your earlier owl journals. I just love it. I do like journals that don’t use digitals. Many people can’t get digitals. There are lots of junk papers out there and what we get in the mail. I love the children’s readers. They are always so cute and very colorful. Don’t apologize for mentioning your husband. It’s your life and you have beautiful memories that you don’t want to forget. That’s why we journal. Love seeing your journals. Thank you for sharing! ❤️😘🤗💕

Hi Diane. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you as you showcased your "legacy" of journals past. My husband passed 23 years ago-yesterday and I also see my life as before and after. And I understand the rollercoaster of grief-even after all this time. I think my favorite is Cherry Street-but all of your journals, regardless of your style at the time, are treasures. One of these days, I will be early enough to capture one of yours for my own treasure. Hugs.

I'm enjoying the look through. Since I don't have a printer I use very little printables. I have a good friend who gifts me one or two sets on my birthday. Your use of everyday items as ephemera has given me confidence in using my stash in my journals and friends seem to enjoy the books.

I’d not have been disappointed with a digital free journal and I’m sure the recipients weren’t either! 😊 I use very little in mine, maybe 3 whole pages and two or three pages of cut up ephemera in total when I do use them. I love repurposing thrifted papers and books, it’s a creative challenge.

Thanks for sharing your journals, it is actually very helpful to see one in use. It helps your watchers better plan just how much blank space they want to incorporate in the book. I tend to get caught up in the decorating and do not leave sufficient area for writing.

I so enjoy you sharing your journals and your sweet memories ❤️ they are all so lovely . I absolutely understand the before / after time as so many of us do the same. I do make notes and lists daily but am only using a notebook. I’m going to start using a journal and having some fun with collage’s.

Thank you for sharing your journals. I love all the ideas and memories you share about creating them. Grief is a never ending process. Many of us have a before and after event that we forever remember our lives by, for me it was the loss of our 20 year old son 11 years ago. 💗🙏🏻

I love journals made with out digitals. I use lots of them though as they are fun.

I actually preferr the Junky Journals, it's more the original style, they look more vintage, and they all look different and Unique. Nowadays most people use the same digitals and their journals almost look the same. They're still Beautiful but Junky Journals are more prettier in my opinion, I LOVE how you incorporate actual vintage ephemera along with the digis it still looks and feels Unique and Original. I'd be VERY interested in a Junky Journal if you ever decide to make them like that again without digitals.❤❤

Diane, your personal journals are great! Pretty and creative, yet so real. My heart goes out to you for your devastation of losing your husband, Bill. Your bravery and courage show through in your journals as you have been navigating through your grief. Sounds like you two had a beautiful marriage; it’s very understandable that his passing marks such a definitive before/after marker for you. Thank you for sharing your journals; they’re so inspirational. I especially liked the lists journal; seems like a good way to start and continue journaling for those of us who struggle with it.
