I did that too. Brought dried mango as pasalubong for my colleagues. Ended up eating half of them when they said you can rest for 5 days. So instead of giving them one packet each... well it became 1 piece each.

That yellow thing that you tasted is called 'Achara' (Atsara). It is, I believe , pickled Papaya, sometimes made with carrots and raisins. It is a side dish meant to eat with fried food, but can be eaten with whatever really. Stay safe!

We have quarantined 14 days when we reach our province and another 14 days when we got back ( Region 4A- Region 4B) without getting tested ...... just following rules

I asked for this video, and the Kumander came through. Awesome! I agree about the simple life. In the US my income is considered poverty level. In the Philippines I can live quite comfortable, and be able to help family members as well. Can't wait to get back, whenever it's safe to travel again.

Welcome back! That yellow stuff covered in cheese is called pichi pichi (pronounced "pitchy pitchy"). The traditional recipe involves grated cassava, sugar, and water and is covered in grated coconut bits. The one you had is a relatively new spin that uses cheese instead of coconut.

You young man, I love your channel. Great personality. You got the coolest parents. I am a 66 yr old female, retired living in the U S A. If all goes well, I’ll be moving to Mexico in 6 weeks. When the Philippines opens to foreigners, I’ll be on y way. I had my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on 2/26/21. The second dose to be given on 3/31/21. If everything is in order, I’ll be on my way. Thank you so much for sharing your life. I’m not looking forward to the quarantine food. Perhaps one day we will meet for coffee.
