I am a massive fan of Vince since the early Depeche Mode days. Spreak & Spell is my favorite album. He also did a wonderful job with Andy in Erasure!

Vince is absolutely great, I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and always loved Kraftwerk, Vince reminded me of that passion for electronica and created some incredible songs. It’s a shame he didn’t do more with Alison Moyet as Yazoo were amazing . I wish Vince my condolences for his loss. ❤

I lost my partner last July so I know exactly how you are feeling my friend.just look after yourself vince and be there for young Oscar cos he's going to need you so much more than you know now pal. I know it feels like you won't ever get over it and I'd be a liar if I told you you will, but you don't you just learn to live with it, it is different when you lose your life partner as apposed to losing a relative I dunno it just feels much deeper and more personal vince. Wow, I first heard New Life at the school dinner time club 1981, I was 12/13. Thought wtf is that, that is amazing. Who is this - asked the DJ.....went to see DM at Birmigham last week for the 5th time - 43 years after hearing them for the first I am still besotted. I was walking on a street in Mountain View, California likely around 2010 and a convertible drove by blaring "Blue Savanah." I'm not a car buy but I was like "Epic song." I was in Quezon City last year an this DJ (hip girl around 30) was playing songs outside TGI Fridays and played "Blue Savanah." I was blown away. I doubt she was born in 1990 when "Blue Savanah" came out. Epic song.

There is a track on Simple Minds Cry album called The Floating World that Vince wrote. It is one of the best tracks on the album and is really good. If the Doctor Who theme was ever to be replaced ( I hope not ) then this tune would be my first choice.

Poor Vince seems to be even more disinterested in and disillusioned by this circus than usual. and now we know why. the interviewer should've made more effort anyway than asking Smash Hits stuff when meeting a sensitive genius. I guess it will take Vince a long time to return, what a difficult time

Yes, I felt that the interviewer was constantly threatening to suddenly interrupt Vince and talk instead of letting Vince pause, think and develop anything. Extremely annoying that Vince had such an un-nuanced experience
