What are the uglies?

Country Girl, it’s when they lose their baby coat and gain the adult double coat. Sometimes barely noticeable, other times, their coat gets very thin and they don’t look like their normal fluffy selves. Still adorable, but different.

@@countrygirl4422 you can Google it, my first Pomeranian never went through that but I have a two-year-old Pomeranian now and she did go through it, they can lose their baby fur in very awkward ways that make you think maybe somethings wrong because Pomeranians can have a tendency to have alopecia. I have had a few different groomers tell me that it’s not a good idea to completely shave down Pomeranians because they have a tendency to sometimes not grow their hair back fluffy and cute even as adults. This is something they go through early on but it usually works its way out. I wouldn’t call it ugly I would just call it awkward just like when kids hit 7-8 years old they can become awkward also.

Hello sorry to ask but how are you all doing during the nasty weather over in California?

@@gaylenewood7707 Actually living in it it's part of one of the seasons and we're pretty much used to it. The weather is atrocious. I shopped two weeks ago for the whole month of groceries so it's kind of kept me indoors. As with last year and every year before that has trees are down branches are falling all over it and we have rain ---a lot of it. We do need the rain though. Thank you for your message. Right. Don't Shop, Adopt from Shelter and Rescues.

I've had loved and cared for dogs cats hamsters and horses all my life. I went to every rescue and aside from Battersea didn't fit the criteria and with battersea there would be a long wait while the right dog was found. One agency turned me away because of having a gravel garden. I live opposite a huge park it's literally a case of crossing the road and I'm in. I bought a dog in the end who couldn’t be more loved cared for or provided for. other great owners who are loving caring commited owners of bought dogs instead of rescue dogs because rescue societies turned them down. The lady I know ( not directly) got the joy of a rescue and handed it back in a week. So much for their procedures. All my animals I've had for all their lives whether long it short. I love them so much. If rescues are sooo particular they're throwing good homes away lots of good homes

Rescues aren’t the same in every country. The US it’s easier to adopt than other countries!

@@qtpieb2588 I agree but I do have to say I am 52 now and these rescues are changing more and more. I get it there are people there trying to weed out who do not keep a dog for a month or two and bring them back or even worse keep them for a year then bring them back because puppies are easier to adopt out. But this last time that I adopted I was trying to go through a rescue that was unbelievably ridiculous, they made me film my inside and outside of my home room by room, film our family any other remaining pets & I could get behind that but what really angered me was they made me wait five weeks before they would tell me yes or no and I lost out on two other puppies in the meantime because of it just to find out that they were going to give the puppy to someone else with no reasoning behind it. I live in Las Vegas and we do not have any kill shelters here but the problem is unless you are looking for a pitbull or a Chihuahua you are never going to find one in our rescue centers here but it can be done I drove to California I ended up waiting almost 2 months but I did end up adopting a baby Pomeranian. Sometimes you just have to wait if you are being specific with the breed but it’s so worth the wait. I just do think there should be a standard that all the rescues should have to go by because some are overly ridiculous, they do not have a crystal ball so you could never truly tell what someone’s intentions are unfortunately.

i can’t rescue dogs some of my family members is allergic plus if it is sick we can’t afford to bring it to a vet.
