So the statue is of a character named Messmer as it said on the right side of the collectors edition bundle "Statue of Messmer the Impaler" while Miquella was the blonde they showed at the end of the trailer and we have seen him before in the first promo art they showed where he is on the horse.

Honestly, we don't actually know if the one as the end was Miquella. I am on the side it is, but who knows. Lots of golden-haired characters.

Same braid as Miquella, short-sleeved robed from the looks of it (Same as the DLC screenshot), and, to top it all off, he was glowing, with very obvious traces of light / holy magic. And, from what we know of Miquella, he innovated the holy incantation "Triple Rings of Light". I'm positive that it's him@@dess1619

Most likely, its miquella, in a sense of how marika is radagon. Miquella is messmer. Like mother like son maybe

Messmer is the boss fight shown at near the end, Miquella is the blonde guy at the very end you get a glimpse of.

I think that it is Miquella. Morgott appeared as Margit, Ranni as Renna, perhaps Miquella as Messmer? That and Malenia and Miquella are twins. Malenia has red hair like her father Radagon. Miquella has been shown to have blonde hair, but he has the physicality of a child, because he was cursed to be young forever. Perhaps Malenia also had blonde hair when she was younger and it turned red as she grew? And Miquella is the same?

Ngl from the way they were speaking (talking about their mother and lordship and such) I think it might be Miquella after their time in the cocoon and they just changed their name to fit this new form. And the person at the end is their other half since, just like his mom and her split half (Radagon), Miquella might have split from St. Trina to embrace their new form aka Messmer. Just a guess tho

@@WillGlacierunlikely, from the interview with Miyazaki- Messmer is referred to as an individual rivaling the power and authority of the other Demi-god children, existing before the age of legends but not existing during them. Miyazaki also refers to him twice as being close to the shadows, so I would wager he’s a long dead child of Marika reborn in this shadow/dream world

I can't wait for vaatividya to drop an hour long video explaining wtf I just witnessed (My guess is that Miquella did the same thing as his mom and "split" apart with Radagon to become two people since Miquella too has a "split personality" named St. Trina and the person at the end of the trailer is St. Trina and the red headed dude is Miquella just all grown up because of the cocoon Mohg put him in. And we get to the DLC by entering Miquella's "dream" same way we enter Godwyn the Golden's dream world)

There's a whole underground u missed in your playthrough including a couple trophy bosses you could do before the dlc . The area is Deeproot Depths .

Messmer is either Rykards son or Malenia brother, i think is rykar's son because of the snakes and the dark like magic he uses it looks like blasphmer level of dark.
