I remember when RFK didn't make the main field for the clash at the coliseum, we all thought it was gonna be another year of disappointments. They have certainly proven us wrong.

Truex and Byron have the same amount of playoff points. And with more wins, Byron is listed by nascar as the top seed due to tied in points but with more wins.

Christopher Bell still finished 4th in regular season standings. Thats pretty good in my book.

I kind of predicted Elliott would struggle, as Elliott was heading for a hangover year since he would’ve won the championship last year under the Winston system, and usually the champion isn’t able to defend it well in this current era. I didn’t think he’d get injured or suspended though. Man this is a strange season for Hendrick! 😂

It would have been tough to predict that Stenhouse and McDowell would make it tbf

I got 11 of the 16 playoff drivers right. Don’t worry Eric, I also had both RFK cars miss too

If he doesn't screw something up, watch out for Bell. Despite all the mess ups since about June, Bell *still* finished 4th in the regular season. It feels like it was a lot worse than it really was.

Let's be honest. We didn't know Chase Elliott would break his leg at the beginning of the year and lose his temper at Charlotte, and make a mistake at Waltkins Glen, we had no idea. I didn't make any predictions because most of these races are pretty unpredictable. I had no idea RFK would stomp faces this year, but they did. I had hope for AJ too, but that flopped pretty hard. I probably set the bar too high for Jimmy Johnson this year, but it was nice to see him return to NASCAR.

Bowman was on FIRE before the injury tbh But the penalty and then the injury killed his season He wasnt the same when he came back Later at Pocono and Michigan hd showed top 5 speed but both races had unfortunate endings At Chicago he got wrecked from the top 10 and then blew and engine He's starting to show the speed he had at the beginning again and I think they may score a win but not sure Alex needs this off-season to get back to 100% cause he's not been on it I don't think it was on Blake Harris really

This year has been such a breakout for small teams RFK (not that Roush is small but they were struggling), JTG, Front Row Motorsports, even Spire is doing okay with Corie Lajoie. I think the rookie picture was completely unexpected with Ty Gibbs being clean, consistent, and respectful in Cup and Gragson being the bottom ranked full time driver and then suspended for racism. I think Buescher makes the champ 4, that’s my crazy prediction. I don’t think he wins though. It’s probably going to be a JGR car, either Truex or Hamlin. Not confident that Byron will make a deep playoff run.

Tbh we gotta give Eric credit, Im sure Bowman and Elliott would've made the playoffs if not for their injuries

I like BK and RFK Racing, and i thought it would be just Brad in the playoffs, but both are in, Brad didn't win, and CB did...that was a shock to me but I'm glad because i used to love the Roush cars...they were lighting fast back in the day...

Honestly Eric, I don’t think you did half bad. These picks were sensible and no one would’ve predicted Elliott would miss the playoffs. To be honest, I predicted Bowman being winless but very consistent and that was only true until his injury. I think it’s interesting how difficult it is to predict how a driver will do. The Next Gen parity is beyond awesome.

RFK has slowly made me a fan of theirs. I've really enjoyed getting to see Buescher finally get a fair crack at being a cup series contender the last couple years, and of course I love seeing the guy from my home state doing well for himself. Brad's been a real nice story the last couple years too, and I've really liked him more as an owner/driver, rather than when he was behind the wheel of the blue deuce. Sorry, that seat will always belong to Rusty for me. And lastly, it's also just nice to see Roush becoming a contender again. I miss the days of the 5 car team of all stars that Roush had. Even though I wasn't a dedicated Roush fan back then, they were a fun group to watch, and brought life and color to the track that helped to define that era of the sport for me! Hope they can keep the momentum going in the last 10 this year!

The 48 started strong. The injury played a huge role in Bowman’s inconsistency through the summer. Denny explained how much his similar injury affected him several years ago, and said it took him nearly the entire season to get the feel back in the race car. I think the way they started, the 48 would have won at least 1 race through the season if Bowman doesn’t break his back.

Listen Eric, this was not bad! 12/16 is pretty good not to mention that Elliot/Bowman missed races because of injury. (I mean, how often do we see NASCAR drivers out with injury? What is this, the NFL IR?). I wouldn't count the 9 and 48 I should definitely start doing NASCAR playoff predictions. Starting next year Imma do it for sure!

As a Kevin Harvick fan, the last couple of years have been pretty heartbreaking. Just this week at Darlington, he basically got screwed over by Tyler Reddick, and also by the Harrison Burton Spin at Phoenix earlier this year. I really hope that he is able to get a win in his last season. #4EVER

Hey bud, love the new setup. One tip I would add is buy a 3.5mm extension cable and send it down the mic arm. The cable would end up on the desk and you plug your headphones in there, eliminating the dangling cable look. Not criticizing, just wanna give some feedback. Loved the episode. This was hilarious, I don't think anyone predicted this year's playoffs right to be fair.

This has been a crazy season. Who would’ve thought this year would have more parity then last year? One year on the new car, the big teams (Hendricks, Gibbs, Peneske, SHR maybe) should have taken over. But except for Gibbs, the winning is pretty well shared.

I haven't took track of race day temperatures, but could these summer slumps be related to some difficulties teams (both driver and crew) are having with tires?

The only thing that determines if Harvick or Gordon have the better retirement season is that win. Without it, Gordon edges Harvick out. With it, Harvick will have better stats than Gordon except possibly top 10s. I also think winning the penultimate race to make the champ 4 is a feat that adds too much weight to the conversation when comparing raw stats of avg finish, laps led, etc

I appreciate how you man up Eric. Your predictions were clearly well thought out in a sport that can be full of woulda coulda shoulda so don’t be shoulding on yourself. ❤️✝️🇺🇸‼️
