I can definitely say that Jeanette's way of adding warm water beforehand really made my curls more hydrated and more defined!! Unfortunately I been slacking on my hair regimen for awhile now, and now I have to start all over again so definitely incorporating this again!!💖🥰

True I'll never shampoo without a Prepoo. I actually use a whipped butter that I create from Ayurvedic Infused herbs, and oils, with either Shea, Mango, or Kokum Butter. Thick and whipped like frosting which I leave in overnight. Then shampoo the next day. I also use this butter in the LOC method multiple times weekly to moisturize.

Yet lack the talent required to be my own kitchen beautician. I can't even twist correctly, and trust me I've tried a time or two, or three. Probably even more honestly 😄

Guuuuuuuurl this video gave me life I didn’t have all those oils on hand but I did order them! Last week as soon as I watched your video I pre poked my daughters hair who has your exact same hair type. We had a drastic change implementing this step. I can’t wait to see long term difference. Watched your pre poo advice video yesterday and did my first pre poo today with olive and coconut oil with a couple drops of lavender and rosemary oil. When I was looking for oil to use, I came across a blog(?) with an old video of you prepooing your hair with coconut oil. Thanks for your help!

J, i was preparing my prepoo when i watched your prepoo benefits video. I make oils and butters so i always have a mix of herb steeped oil. I added frankincense rosehips peppermint essential and castor oil to the mix and slept in it. Today i washed it out and then did a bentonite clay wash and a deep deep conditioner where i added oil and honey henna and amla. My hair was popn! Thank you so much for the water tip it helped a lot. I'll be doing a weekly oil prepoo from now on. When i was in college i did hot oil treatments which were i guess considered prepoos for back in the day.

My pre poo regimen is pretty much the same. I add aleo vera gel to my water bottle. Thanks for the tip about the ends. Sometimes I use red pimento and JBCO for my pre poo

Hey Jeanette, I slacked off for awhile but started pre-pooing your way with warm water again along with, deep conditioning which have become my two FAV steps to my hair routine because I can definitely say that both steps had helped my hair grow from chin-length to bra strap-length from November last year til I trimmed a week ago!! Can't wait til my hair grows out again but this year it's health over length!!❤️🥰🙏🏼

This was a very detailed video and you're so right that pre Poo benefits all hair whether your natural or not. Your hair is soooo gorgeous. This oil mixture sounds so nutritious for the hair. I use grapeseed oil (and it is Bae) or I use another oil or I use a DIY mixture, just depends on what my hair needs at the time before I wash my hair. Your so right about using warm water on your hair to help the oils penetrate the hair strands. Thanks for sharing this video 👍🏾

The last time I washed my hair untwisted, I lost enough hair to make a wig. Great prepooing advice in this vid, perhaps if I get my hair to consistent max hydration, I might try washing my it without twists again.

I have recently started pre-pooing my hair and my daughters hair. I use conditioner/co-wash and oil as a hot oil treatment for 20 mins every week. I have seen such a difference in both of our hair. Thank you for your very inspirational videos and encouraging us to try new things on hair especially if its going to help the health of our hair. Your hair looks amazing.

Your hair is beautiful. I agree that your process is neat and clean, you are actually IN the shower shampooing your hair! I watched another channel some mths ago, lady had hair in sections hanging over kitchen sink!! My comment was "who ever heard of anyone partially shampooing their hair in sections" for a demonstration? Her significant other told me everyone doesnt shampoo their hair in a shower... So happy that You did, Perfect!!!!

Addison Waldron thank you ☺️ I haven’t but I do want to try it. For a Daily moisturizer honestly I suggest water and seal with oil. Also I love Camille rose, design essentials, and Jane carters products they have moisturizers. I don’t use moisturizers 🧴 because my routine is good and my hair doesn’t get dry.

Came for the juicy twists in the thumbnail, stayed for your cute personality. Tfs Do you have thick/coarse strands? At first, your hair looked similar to mine, but once you started to handle it, you were doing things I definitely can't do to my fine strands. I have dense hajr overall, but fine strands that web, easily tangle, and I can't easily part, comb, or detangle. I was like, wow, you can part that lol! And with ease!

Wow, that's some thick hair. A different hair cut would make it look less thick. I'm learning with natural hair, the cut aka shape is everything. Can make managing it easier or more difficult. This looks good on you though.

I have been natural 8 1/2 yrs and lost my Mom 7mths ago. My hair broke off severely due to stress and thinning in the crown. I had to get my hair cut so it looks like I have big chopped all over again. How can I incorporate Prepooing with short hair. I have been following your journey and right now there aren’t many influencers that offer suggestions for short 4c hair. Any suggestions??? Kioka Warner-Jackson 🤗 I hope things are getting better for you 🤗 you can prepoo once a week before shampooing, same applies💕 mix oils and you can sleep overnight, or leave in for an hour. I big chopped and prepooed all the time ☺️ no difference

I know everyone is different and this video is older, but I’m wondering if I should wash my hair once then do a hot oil treatment and wash again? I was just wondering if a hot oil tx is effective if my hair is dirty with product? Lol
