I don't have the courage to write on my books😅

When I see a book that looks like it's been used so much it makes me want to read it ! I love seeing annotated books. Probably a gold mine of insights written on those pages

I find that there is nothing more stunning and aesthetically pleasing than a deeply annotated novel ❤📚

And here I thought mine was too much. Thank you, this made me less terrified of putting more annotations

For all the people that are saying I'm too scared to mutilate the book with highlighting etc, remember what a book is for. It's for learning knowledge. It's not a piece of art. If you are retaining more knowledge from the book by highlighting it, it's a good thing. Besides when you put the book back in your bookshelf, it looks exactly the same. I saw this comment on another KZfaq video, and it changed my reading life forever. Now, I buy books to annotate. Try it-it's just a bunch of papers. You can always buy a new copy if you don't like it.

I always start then never finish annotating throughout the book as a mama of 5 I just don't have the time to read let alone annotate how I like. I'm lucky to ready 1 or 2 books a week. Speed reading and listening on spotify/audible when cleaning etc. 😢

I physically cannot make myself stop reading to write my thoughts down. I CANT DO IT 😭. I’m so feral I just rip through the pages like a starving child that knows that if I turn the page there will be food for me there. I read a book a day because I don’t have to self control to stop 😂 Once the book has been opened it cannot be closed until it is finished.

Tabs are ok because you can remove them but writing in books makes me die inside.

I didn’t wanna write in the books I rly rly rly liked so I js kinda started annotating on these mid school book fair ya books and I think maybe I’ll be able to write on an actual book one day :)

I love this, it looks awesome. And im not saying this from a place of hate.. which is.. i think over-annotation is not actually functional but mere aesthetical. Because it is redundant and annotation supposed to annotate only really really important stuff.. and I personally (but you do you) think not everything should nor worth being annotated for. Over-annotation also quite possibly relates to maximal consumerism because of how much it uses unnecessary amount of resources. If you annotate quite literally from front to back... then... The whole book is important which defeats the point of annotation which is to annotate only imporant stuff. Just my two cents tho, but again.. you do you - i do me because at the end of the day.. it all boils down to preferences
