In this video, I go over EVERYTHING in my current aesthetic student/work from home/"KZfaqr" desk setup, along with how & why I use what I use and few recommendations along the way. I think having a couple of plants on the desk is key but, sadly, I also find myself killing them off by accident... 😩 I need to get me an "Ikea Meme Plant 2022" so it can just look pretty and require no upkeep. I also love my lamp but rather than the Hue bulb I've got one of the Philips Filament bulbs which gives it a nice aesthetic.

It is so refreshing to watch a genuine person showing their genuine desk setup. All the others I have seen have like high end stuff which not everyone can afford. You have such a calming voice and demeanor that it feels like a conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee. I found your channel because I was torn between the trackpad and the mouse; and boy am I surprised that someone else other than me is using both simultaneously! I live your setup and your videos. You got yourself a subscriber. Also, neat little trick with the calculator ;-)

These are great tips! Wow I never thought of the cable management for under the desk. I didn't even know those exist! Def need to get those cable stickies. Great work Tereza! Can't wait for your next video!

Creative Pebble V3 is a MUST BUY speakers. They are small, but with a great sound and price. And they support Bluetooth as well.

A must have for the Desk must be the Monitor arm. I have the Arctic X1-3D which sometimes goes for sale at about 35 bucks, and it’s an insane bang for the bucks. Greetings from Germany, love your setup.

For speakers, you could check reviews (eg. kitgurutech) on the Edifier MR4 reference speakers. They come in white, they're a good price and they get great scores in reviews. When I lived in an apartment, I'd rarely use my speakers as they'd just annoy the neighbours. So I tended to use headphones mostly. I currently use a Sennheiser GSP500 which is a gaming heatset with microphone - I like it because it's an open back headset so I can still hear some background noise in case someone calls to the door. And I've paired it with a Sennheiser GSX 1000 amplifier which is also hooked up to my speakers and easy to swap between them with the touch panel display. You can often find both in a gaming bundle. A headset is also good for directional audio when playing games. I mainly use my speakers for music and youtube. You can get various types of hooks for hanging the headset on but I have mine hanging on the handles of a nearby wardrobe 🙂 I'm a little concerned at your monitor height. I'd encourage you to try to keep the top of the monitor at eye height. If you're looking up at the top part of the screen, it can hurt your neck and shoulders after a while. It's better to be looking straight at or slightly down towards the monitor. Or just take lots of breaks - but how often do we remember to do that? 🙂 Good to see you back. I hope the exams went well.

Beautiful setup. So, I never ended up buying the LG ultrawide, I went with the ASUS ROG Strix 34” because of the higher refresh rate. Also, I happened to get the renewed model, which was about $100 cheaper.

Hi Tereza, really nice setup! Love how coherent and tidy it is. I would recommend the Sony WH-1000X4 if you are after some overhead headphones with super nice noise cancelling ;) I am also planning some changes and especially a good desk declutter soon, hence I am selling and repurposing some things such as my former main Logitech z623 2.1 speakers to minimise the desk space (have a look at them) and using a Bose mini Sound micro and Airpods Pro for audio as well. I hope we can see more fun videos like this in from you soon!

Newer MacBooks have thunderbolt ports so you could hook up a newer MacBook towards a base station and have everything in one port and even some monitors also have thunderbolt and even usbs on the back so you can hook an external ssd or hard drive and put your ports there. If you do go for a new MacBook Air m2 I highly suggest at the very least get the 16 gb of ram and 512 ssd since though it has the same chip it is more double as fast as let’s say the base model and has a higher ssd speed with the 512 gb instead of the 256gb since only one is soldered on the 256gb storage instead of the 512gb gb keep in mind the modern MacBooks are not upgradable but if you do end up getting an m2 MacBook Air thermal pads off amazon they’re under $15 and you just open your MacBook with 4 screws and remove the cover and put the pads over the thing don’t remove anything else and then put it back on after you put the pads and use it as normal youtubers have tested it with thermal pads on the MacBook Air m2 and they saw their MacBooks did make a noticeable difference with the pads

Good to know! I have been eyeing the new MacBooks for sure, but will probably wait for the price tag to drop a bit haha. 16GB RAM and 512 SSD is what I have now, so I will definitely want at least as much 🙂

Why did you go for an LG ultragear. Don’t get me wrong the monitor is pretty nice but for the price you could of got a monitor with let’s say a better panel or image quality. Also it’s more designed for gaming and not really editing but I mean unless you plain on making a pc which would be really nice it be better off especially using stuff like Final Cut Pro or Photoshop for stuff like adjusting colors. But it’s a great gaming monitor though and you could just change modes between different outposts so maybe you can use both the Mac and maybe a Gaming pc one day for certain stuff like a pc for certain stuff like gaming or some stuff not available on macOS or MacOS for stuff for programing and Final Cut Pro since Final Cut Pro.

Where I live the choice is quite limited, and monitors are not the most safely “shippable” things. Regardless though, I’m extremely happy with the monitor and have no regrets 😊
