Hello! You’re not using enough mineral oil on the wood cutting boards and utensils (esp the older, dryer ones). They shouldn’t look dry at all after you do it. Always use more than you think you need. Pour some of the mineral oil in a small bowl and constantly dip your towel into it before applying to a new board/utensil (a few times for each board). Let them dry on the counter over night and then give them a light wash to get the excess oil off the next morning. Your older cutting board needs a lot more, it will look shiny again if you use the right amount. Hope this helps 😊 Love your videos!

LOVE the wooden series at the 3 coins!!!😍 I never seen recipe books give out food as a present with the magazine but perhaps its fun if they have recipes with it in the magazine. I saw that they have the numver 8 magazin of syunkon now. I like those to be honest. It's cafe style food and I have both microwave recipe books and they have some good recipes in it. I always buy the instant coffee from Blendy when in Japan. They used to have hojicha latte sticks as well. My refrigerator needs to be cleans as well. I think I need to get some of those trays because now every jar is in it and have to be taken out one by one, which is a hassle. So I usually only clean my vegetable section every two weeks or so but the shelves I always put aside for another day. As we are going on a trip soon, now is the time to clean it I think. One of my favourite tomato summer dishes is tomato shira ae. The tofu dressing is lightly seasoned with neri goma and tsuyu so its flavourfull and goes so well with chilled tomatoes. I never had chirashi sushi with scallops but it looks delicious!! Your jelly reminds me of the hydrangea jelly you sometimes see on recipe side, but in yellow then. The small stars on it are cute.

I got those trays in Daiso to organize the jars, it’s very good to gather the jars all together 🎶 True! I think the same technique applied to make hydrangeas jelly but with different colors 😃💕

I so love that basket...it looks so well made & sturdy!! I'm going to have to look for that walnut & fig bread...it looks like it would taste so good I love the red kitchen towel & all the wood things you bought for your kitchen...so pretty & practical too! Eggplant, tomato & cucumber...my 3 favorite veggies!! You have such a vivid & beautiful imagination with food, Linna...I love how you decorated the Sushi rice with the milky way!! Your Star Festival dinner turned out so pretty & I'm sure your "boys" will so enjoy all the talents of your work, as well as the taste...total success!! I'm so glad they enjoyed their special dinner. Blessings, dear, sweet Linna🙏♥

When I treat my wooden utensils & cutting boards I don’t use gloves , but for sure don’t use paper towels of any sort to rub in the oil & conditioner ( paper towels soaking up all the oil )and I let it sit overnight then rinse. Thanks for sharing

Hello Linna , I have always used sun flower oil for my kitchen utensils , I never knew about mineral oil .....It means we always learn new things . I love eggplants , my favourite way is cutting them lengthway in halves , brush them with olive oil and salt then roast them for about 40 minutes at 180 * celsius . Then eat with a spoon out of the skin . So yummy ... Have a nice day 😊

I know what you mean about eating free in your house! I’m doing that now, you can eat what you want, especially doing it while watching television! What a luxury! My husband and son are at a car event in England called Goodwood Festival Of Speed. I don’t know if any of your viewers have ever heard of it. I imagine car enthusiasts most likely had. Anyway…. I also had the joy , of cleaning out my fridge yesterday. Loved what dinner you made, looked delicious! Enjoyed your vlog, a nice way for me to relax!
