Learn my 5-minute scalping strategy that uses the stochastic and Bollinger bands indicators for profitable trading. Enter short trades when the price moves above the upper band and stochastic crosses above 80, or long trades when the price moves below the lower band and stochastic crosses below 20. Set take profit near the opposite Bollinger band, and use recent swing highs or lows for stop loss.

Happy trading indeed! Those indicators are lagging and even worse when you have poor internet connection. The ruler, trend lines and EMA 8, 20, and 200 are your best friends. 🙏🤑🤑🤑

When the price is above the upper band of the bollinger band, then stochastic definitely would always be above 80. Nothing surprising. And then stochastic may turn back above the 80 again after shorting the stock instead of going to 20 level.

BE CAREFUL TRADING REVERSALS! Better to trade with the stochastic than fight it. Stochastic runs sideways outside the 80/20 levels for a long time. Combined with moving averages you can ride the trend. Only try for the reversal when momentum confirms the reversal and you’ve fallen under key moving averages. Also combine at least 3 time frames and wait for the stochastic be in confluence with each other.

This is a valid strategy and use by many successful professionals trader. But for newbie they will failed. Reason is newbie never follow the rules accordingly in term of the strategy rules and money management. Never wanna do backtest to see it themselves instead of just ask question and post negative comments. Example one of the comment says this strategy doesnt work when market trending. What on earth you want to trade when market sideway(ranging)? So that is the truth

Just set the chars to five minutes interval and use default settings for both the Bollinger Bands and Stochastic indicators. Default settings have produced the best results for me.

Overbought and oversold is not even a concept. It needs various parameters and huge amount of data to calculate that. And even after that you can’t be sure. And that’s why market can remain overbought for days yet RSI etc will keep moving up and down
