Hey mam hope you are doing great. I got admission in Meng program and the fee they told is 1397/unit. As my program is Meng and total units are 30. And to apply for sds visa, I have to pay my 1 year fee right? Is that suppose to be 1397*15=21k? Please confirm as the student support is not providing exact answer. And will they provide any letter of confirmation that student has paid 1 year fee? Or just receipt will work? Please answer asap

You will receive an email when enrollment window starts. Then you will have list of all courses available for your term and you can select the one’s you wanna take.

Didi did you write the gre? Gre is optional for meng at McMaster???

No, GRE is anyways not being asked in majority of Universities in Canada.

Is Hamilton good for international students then rest of canada & Are jobs available ??

Well, I would not be able to paint the best picture, as I have spent max of my time only in Hamilton. But Hamilton is absolutely good for international students. There are so many International students in McMaster and Mohawk college.

It depends on you how many courses you take in a term! Usually for my program students take 2 courses per term and they still do the part time along with it.

Hello, how many universities did you apply to? How many universities did you get selected in? This would help me to shortlist my universities and compare them.

Hey.. I applied to around 5 universities. And I got acceptance from 2. But, I missed out on most because I applied very late and closer to the deadlines. If you are planning to study abroad, plan early and make sure you apply well before deadlines.

@@surbhimalik22 Which universities did you get accepted into? Also how is the co-op program at McMaster? Also are there tech opportunities in the city as it is not a tech hub so does it limit the potential of jobs? Also let me know the universities you applied to so I can check them out as well.

If you have got acceptance from the department, I think you can directly reach out to them on the same email! And if you want to contact a Professor, you can check their email at McMaster website and can email them too. Although, every query related to admissions will be answered by department! If you have any further questions, I will upload a post today and you can add there. I will try creating a video answering all the questions such that you can also have more information of the process.

Hi Surbhi, I received my admit for Fall 2023 intake, Meng computing and software- Project. How much fee did you pay when you applied for visa? You paid for 2 terms or 3 terms?

Hi Tanvi! I saw your email too. Thanks for reaching out. I am planning to answer all the questions in a separate video as I am getting questions from many students! But to answer this question of yours, I actually payed 3 term fee ( 1 year) for SDS visa application process.

@@surbhimalik22 what was the amount? 11363 is the first term fee. So did you pay 11363*3?

@@tanvisachdeva9820 Yes! My fee was around 10,000 so I paid somewhat around 30k CAD. I have heard a few students rounding off the amount like instead of 30k they paid 28k and those were accepted too. But to be on the safer side I will suggest paying a 1-year fee.

hello Tanvi i am a fresher and having some experience here and there through internships of 6 mos. so do I really need to connect with the professors and yes also the interview that was held with the professor, was it similar to tech interviews in India please guide , Thank You.

@@kunjpathak9416 hey Kunj. So interviews depend on professor to professor. Some prefer technical interviews while some just want to understand your educational goal and general behaviour. It is not mandatory to connect with a professor but if you think that you are getting late , you can any day connect with them by giving your profile and expressing your desire for the program you applied for.

On the website they have mentioned around 80% minimum. So, I think you should have a decent score to apply here.

There is no specific requirement for IELTS by McMaster. But minimum 7 should be good.

The requirement for each College/University is different and is always mentioned in their program requirements. So, please check the University and program you are targeting.

Why would you need to contact an agency to apply? For M.Eng and whichever program you are interested in, please check the requirements and apply accordingly! 🙂

Actually per term fee changes! For my program when I applied it was 10k ish CAD per term! Now it is increased just within a single year. So it would depend which program you apply to and when
