I used to get bullied in school when I was a child in New York,for being Puerto Rican. This movie gave me a sense of pride that got me through it. Over the years, I hit the gym and my family began to vacation there. It was then that I discovered how amazing and fun our culture was, how beautiful our women were and how strong we were as people who overcome all types of asversity. I went on the earn 3 code degrees and a successdul career in business and with inco.e properties, all set to.retire in 10 years when I'm 62 in Puerto.Rico, God wiling to.finish my life with the annual Christmas parties, great climate in paradise. I have always been proud to be Puerto Rican but never more than right now, with the recent "Despacito" song which I'm sure did for some young Puerto Ricans what "Puerto Rico the song" did for me. 🇵🇷 forever

My big sis passed away last year unexpectedly , we grew up watching this movie many many times , even down to a year before i lost her , it was our film we called it , not sure i will ever he able to ever watch it again now without her 😢 but i will treasure the days we sat and watched it together ❤❤❤❤❤

When I came to this country in 1990, my grandfather who lived in NY most of his adult life loved this movie. He would play it so much that I begged him to watch it again and again because I grew up listening to salsa. I was only 6 when I came. I love salsa, always have it's in my blood. Funny part is that I never dated a PR woman, fast forward till this day, I ended up with a great Puerto Rican woman. 😍 the love of Salsa!

When I was 12-13 I used to rent this movie on VHS. You could also rent a moviebox back then, you got to keep it for 24 hours. Wow did I make the time worth while, I must have watched it like 10 times over the 24 hours I had it. Then I did it all over again. I saw the movie in theaters when it came out when I was a teen. A friend bought me the soundrtrack on cassette and I listened to it everyday, this was my favorite song from that track. This movie is one of the best in my book totally underrated. I had a crush on Robby ever since Menudo and still think he's dope. 😉😊 love his moves, and it's so cute this pair ended up married for so long too. 💕 que viva 🇵🇷 I still own the DVD movie 🎬 I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.
