That brought back some memories I haven't even thought of in years. I live in Northern New York, so we put boots on dogs up here because of cold weather and salt on the streets and sidewalks. They are also used here for protection from heat and rough terrain. My first dachshund literally refused to take one step in her boots. She just stood, and no offer of any type of food with encourage her to move. My third dachshund just refuse to allow me to put them on her feet. Before I had the third boot on, she had already removed the first two.

It's a really good idea to put the booties on their pwaws . They'll walk funny at first cause they can't feel their paws but once they get used to them they'll be better off especially in really hot weather . Thanks for taking care of your pups feet .
