Yep that is his mom singing this song with him. Her voice is so good, she would be just as popular as he is if she did her own thing. I found his music because of reaction channels, otherwise I wouldn't have found him along with Tom Mcdonald, Adam Calhoun, T-Rev 757, Dax among others.

To my limited knowledge, It is a relatively new sub-genre. Some call it "country rap" some call it "hic-hop". I call it a great meld of two styles that has its own merits. I rather like it.

I have enjoyed some of your past reactions but your reaction to Ryan and Jelly Roll got me to sub. Life is rough and for me hearing Ryan, Jelly roll, Struggle Jennings, and Adam Calhoun have helped me get through some tough things and I have mad respect for all 4 of them. I would love to see more reviews of any of them. Keep up the craziness. Oh and how do you say your name. I have a hard time hearing and no matter how many times I listen I cannot pick out how you pronounce the beginning of your name.

Ryan Upchurch is known as a Hick-Hop artist. And there's actually a few of them. They combine country styles with hiphop/rap/pop to male their own unique styles. Upchurch has even said in one of his songs that he doesn't have a style, it's just him and his views and his life experiences.

I think you should get into some of his rock stuff. Check out his song SPOTLIGHT. It is about him dealing with the fame. And the video is great because it is all footage from his tour. And then check out GHOST...its basically rap over bluegrass music
