As someone who has worked on front end / UX design since the late 90s (now branching out to children’s illustration, video and 3D) this video got me curious. First, that’s a lovely setup you’ve got. I did major in graphic design so doing both design AND coding was always a natural for me and didn’t realize how rare that skill set was for a long time. Now after so many years at this I’m yearning to switch to other creative outlets… but you’re young. Front end development now is better than ever. Enjoy the ride. :)

I've been learning illustration and textile design, I was about to try doing it self employed but rising costs have made me wonder whether to retrain as a UI UX designer. I love textile design and illustration but I'm not sure if I could make enough money to live on it.

thank you so much for this video!!!! I am a beginner coder, brand new. I've been working on a free code camp javascript lesson and plan to do as much I can there. There is a huge mystique about coding and a lot of the "day in the life of a coder" videos don't do much to pull the veil back. I really appreciate how you broke down your day in detail, and described what you were actually doing. It is massively helpful for someone knew. Subscribed!

First time on your channel with this video and you already have a new sub. Loved your explanations and you showing and going through your process from designing to coding. I'm a Graphic Designer and I recently started into Front End so it was a breath of fresh air to watch you as most of the content producers either show one or the other, not both design and coding together. Keep it up, I'll be looking forward to watch more videos and I'll be checking your previous ones too.

I'm currently a senior in high school and I'm currently working on college applications. I've only recently been watching a lot of software engineering content on KZfaq and doing a lot of research on it, and I believe the benefits of this job are totally worth it. I want to major in Computer Science, but the issue is, I don't have any knowledge when it comes to computers or programming. Would this be an issue? Should it stop me from pursuing CS? Great video by the way, I appreciate your content a lot.

Hi Gyasi, love your video man, I find myself getting stuck in the design phase waaaay to long and then I forget about the logic that I need to use for the project. Have you encountered that and if so what did you do to go around that? Better yet, I get so stuck on the perfect font, color, font size, border-radius, icons... you know what I mean. Its hard to get past that point because Im a perfectionist and its not always a virtue.

Im a mix of a ui ux dev and design. Recently graduates with an IT degree with a focus on web dev and design. And i dont know what to focus on. I love desiging a button but through code not through figma so much i enjoy design softwares but not as much as front end coding im thinking to do my masters in software engineering would this enable me more to get a role in front end development? Do front end devs at bigger companies get to design a bit?
