My Refurbished B-Series Thunderbolt 1003 First Full Run, Hi-Lo

Update: There is an air leak coming from the 1003's head. Siren was fixed since.
Recorded on August 9th, 2022. This is a video of my B-Series Thunderbolt first full run. The test was great. I had SirensofSpartanburg (formerly ExtraSirensofSouthCarolina) over for this test. This siren's chopper terminal was set on level 4. This siren's solenoids are running from a custom made RCM3. So far this siren replaced my Thunderbolt 1000 for now. But I don't really want to use this siren for tornadoes. Thanks to James S for the great paint suggestion! This siren looks like it just came out of the factory!

Blower: C-series 4M single phase (uses the same blower as the B-series does)

Great looking resto. What blower is in this one? A couple notes: Sunburst Yellow is very close to CD Yellow, but not exact. Also, it fades quickly....the paint does not have much UV resistance. I'd suggest a UV stable clear coat that'll go over oil based enamel. Eastwood makes a 2 part clear in a spray can that would probably work. Acrylic enamel seems to hold up the best...the plan for mine is to mix my own version of the yellow using Sunburst and a little bit of red, and have it matched at Home Depot in the acrylic. I visited a siren recently that used that type of paint and it's holding up very well. Yours sounds very good! Nice job.

@@SouthCarolinaSirens B-series 1003s are more rare, and are easier to maintain. Also this is purely opinion based, but as far as progress goes, this one wins, but yours is still in progress and could beat this one. Only time will tell.
