You don't even want to see the big smile that appeared on my face when I got this notification, haha 😆 That's an epic haul, I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all these books when you get to them! A Song for the Void was an SPFBO8 finalist, so that is where you might have seen it. Great book, really stuck with me! And Spark of the Divine made it into my top 5 of 2023, you are in for a TREAT! Amazing high fantasy based on a real life D&D campaign, I had such a blast!! Happy reading friend 🤩

Nothing wrong with a break, we all need one and don't take them often enough. I listened to Stone & Sky last month. It was a great start for a series and I look forward to the rest of the series. I think I also have all of the first books for the Break-Ins gang. Can't wait to get to those later. Overall a nice haul, got to love those Broken Binding editions! And I miss the bloopers!

Great to have you back! Altered Carbon is a blast and Neuromancer is iconic! As for myself, due to a loss in the family (a saintly old aunt of mine, much beloved by our whole family), I only finishe three novels in March: «Brother Red» by Adrian Selby (Grimdark Fantasy, standalone «midquel» to «Snakewood» & «The Winter Road»), «Judas Blossom» by Stephen Aryan (Historical Fantasy inspired by the Mongol Conquest of Persia) and «Suldrun’s Garden» by Jack Vance (book #1 in the «Lyonesse» Trilogy, (Pre-)Arthurian Fantasy). April has already been much better: I have already finished «The Fort» by Adrian Goldsworthy (City of Victory Trilogy #1, Historical Military Fiction set during the Campaigns of Roman Emperor Trajan, Sequel Trilogy to the «Vindolandia» Trilogy), «Empire of Silence» by Christopher Ruocchio (Sun Eater #1, Space Opera/Sci Fantasy) and «Islands in the Net» by Bruce Sterling (80’s (Post-)Cyberpunk 😄), and I have just started on «Howling Dark» (Sun Eater #2)! I plan to continue on with «The Lyonesse Trilogy» and might finish book #2 «The Green Pearl» this month also, cheers!

First off, So sorry to hear of your loss, and all the best to your family during this time. I'm glad to see you brought up The Fort. I have that and the sequel The City on my shelves and I need to get to this series at some point. As to Suneater, my next book is Demon in White. I look forward to your thoughts on Howling Dark. That was an amazing entry.

I too own that same exact copy of Cycle of Fire since Andrew Wizardly raved about it! I have so many library books in my possession not sure when I will get to it. I loved Daughter of the Empire but soft DNF’d Curse of the Mistwraith & To Hell Chasm. I decided life feels to short to read and suffer through density. If I ever find myself with no TBR I can circle back.

So many great books. I was thinking about diving into China Mieville’s Perdido Station myself after coming highly recommend by Britton. Seems very intriguing. Hope you enjoy Neuromancer. It’s a bit of an acid trip, but I loved it the first time I read it. Also that edition you received is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
