Thank you for your videos. I learned a lot from them. And they are fun to watch, too. I tried using the "Run JavaScript Function on web Page" action to insert the values from the Excel sheet and I was able to finish the challenge in about 800 ms. Seems to be faster than normal selectors.

Hi, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. It really helped a lot. I had one question. Can I run multiple flows at the same time?
@DaveTheRPAGuy
@DaveTheRPAGuy Жыл бұрын
It used to be possible to do this with the free version. When I most recently tested this, it seems they have essentially disabled the ability to run more than one at a time. Maybe that has changed or maybe it will change in the future, but I kind of expected this limitation. I would imagine that with the paid version, there wouldn't be a limitation like this though.

I noticed in your video, the 'Set Delay time' status bar on the bottom of the window, is set to 100 ms. By changing it to 1ms, it will run faster. How close is it to the score of running the flow from the Console?
@DaveTheRPAGuy
@DaveTheRPAGuy Жыл бұрын
It's still slower than in the Console. I don't remember if I tested this at the time, but since then I noticed that delay time setting. I used it a lot when automating minesweeper and it was fairly painful even when set to 1 ms and it seems like it is more an issue with going inyo subflows and such. They have made some performance improvements there but still slower than the console view.

As I experiment more with PAD, I noticed this too but I never got it to run as fast as 3 seconds. It did cut my original 80 seconds in half but nothing faster. I also noticed the text boxes went from being dark yellow when being filled out to a pale yellow but that's it. I'm wondering if it has do do with your PC or network speed to account for the time differences. Just an FYI

@@DaveTheRPAGuy I ran this flow again today .. although it did not run in 3 seconds, it ran just under 10 seconds - so much speedier than yesterday (40 seconds). It would be nice if this were more consistent but as the old saying goes ... your mileage may vary.
@DaveTheRPAGuy
@DaveTheRPAGuy 3 жыл бұрын
@@jimfuldner2338 Awesome! And you ran from the PAD Console? I did find my flow runs slower sometimes, but it was usually around 3 seconds. Are you sure you removed the waits from all the UI actions? Also, I don't know if your flow is exactly like mine or not, but the excel data extraction happens before my flow clicks the start button, though I wouldn't think that'd cause a slow down.

@@DaveTheRPAGuy FYI to your comment about "... If only we could easily share code then we could compare ...". You can highlight all your actions (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and paste into Notepad. It's JSON mostly with some preamble stuff at top and some ugly binary values for screenshots). I then created a new flow and pasted (CTRL+V) the entire contents of the Notepad file into the action pane and ... Viola - there's my original flow. So in a crude way, we CAN store our flows in simple text files. Makes for backing up, sharing and (dare I say) a method by which you can put your flows in a Git repository.

@@jimfuldner2338 good point! And I guess if you have subflows then they just go into separate files. I’ll have to test that!

How to click last hyperlink in a table using PAD. I am having different parent links when i enter into each parent link that link contains different number of hyperlinks i.e., first parent link have 10 and 2nd one having 15 like that. But i want to open every last hyperlink of each parent link. Plaeses reply

Super late response here. I'm the worst. I would have to go look into this concept, but I would have more questions about what your purpose is in clicking the last hyperlink. I feel like there's more reason behind it that would help me to give a suggestion on how to accomplish it.
