yep....the flybar pins were broken....I have since replaced that part and the s107 flew again....until I went on to 4 channel and then 6 channel...Now the s107 has been sold. Thanks for the post....you were spot on with your observation.

Hey Sizzlemywizzlevdeos, thanks for the the input....the problem was the two tiny support posts that hold the top rotor to the main shaft broke off....I have since repaired the s107 and it's still flew great and then I sold all my syma helis the s107, s006, the s031g, the 9100, and the 9104. I got my money's worth from them all. ....I no longer fly 3.5 channels but I have to admit...the s107 was a really good learning tool.

Thanks noah for the reply...I wish it had been something as simple as the carpet....but it wasn't... it was a broken flybar...I knew nothing about that at the time of making this video.....I have since moved on...thanks again...and fly like an eagle....peace.

Greetings Sir and thanks for commenting on my former problem......I fixed the s107 and she is hopefully making some kid happy as I donated it to a Childrens shelter....The problem was the flybar connects broke and once it was replaced, it fly great. I have move on the larger birds now but still appreciate your interest in helping me solve the problem. BTW...have you checked out the Syma f106....it's a four channel.

I love youtube for just this very thing...Hey Popeyevallshipd....thanks for the post...but I fixed that bird over a year ago...but I love your points because it could help me or some of my viewers with their birds problems as well. The problem with my S107 was the flybar pins broke off. thats' why the blade was so floppy. I have fixed it with the help of all my viewers like you. I now fly a Trex 600 and love it. Thanks again....

A flybar is the weighted bar on top of the top rotor. It allows helicopters to fly with stability. Hope that helps.

Hey MW2Master36, I wish it was that simple but the problem was the flybar pins were broken off. I fixed it and the heli flew fine....I have long since moved on to bigger helis now....thanks for the post.

It took me about a half hour to replace the bad gear, there is a lot of parts to remove and then the gear is hard to get out, but I found a video on you tube that showed how to do it. The only thing I did different was I used one of the short little gear posts (the gear set came with two rep[lace ment short gear posts) to push the old post and gear out with, this worked better then grabbing the old gear with a set of needle nose and twisting it back and forth to get it off. (like in the video)

Thanks skaterboy2502 for you suggestion. Actually, it was the flybar. I bought a new one and it flew fine once the damaged flybar was replaced. I have sinced sold all my 3 channel helis and graduated to 4 channels and now I am flying a trex 550 with training skids and a teacher of course..

@Hoarhound1 - Wow....15 copters.....why so many....but I did take your advice and I ordered two more S107s and a few extra parts.....I also ordered a 9100 and 9104.....before I break a more expensive model....I am gonna cut my teeth on these......thanks for the help.....
@1jimif12 жыл бұрын
The gear sets were cheap (only 2.00). I am now glad I ordered them with the 107. I have been thinking about getting an mcpx next, skipping the four channel and going right to colective pitch. I know it will be hard and i will probably crach a lot to begin with, but I am thinking the mcpx is so light, it will withstand the abuse a lot better then a bigger helicopter would, plus I can learn to hover it and do the simpler training in my house or back yard, rather then having to go somewere to fly.

Thanks ThtiherSark984 for your post. The problem with the heli was actually the flybar connect pins. They broke off during a hard crash I guess. Anyway, I fixed the bird and it flew fine. I am now flying a Trex 600. Now that is a scary blast. Again thanks for the tip....
@SizzleMyWizzleVIDEOS12 жыл бұрын
You should try to buy the S107G which the G stands for Gyro. The Gyro will actually balance the heli out. You have to manually adjust the Normal S107. Hope this helps. Oh and I got it on Amazon brand new from Syma. Just hit me up if you have any questions.

@Pokedudegio0 - Hey thanks for the post Pokedudegio0.....It was'nt the carpet..it was the flybar connectors to the main shaft that broke during one of my many crashes....I had to buy another S107 to see the problem....I have made some mods (upgraded battery, wider rotors for main and tail). ...I fixed it and it flies great....I have move on to a four channel single rotor now and I am having a ball....Next is a T-rex 450.

@MrKwanlee - You know MrKwanlee.....I thought it was the connect buckles too....but both were connected at the time of that video.....I order anothe s107 and I am hoping that I will be able to see how that unit is connected but I think the problem is the main shaft has broken free from the to rotor somehow because I see two points on the shaft where it seems something was connected...I will try to get a better close up....thanks for the advice.
@zenji93796 жыл бұрын
The problem is one of your gears are not spinning well which slows the bottom propeller and gives more speed to the propeller on the top, try checking your chip and see if any cable is disconnect or check the gears if both of them are spinning.

I bought the bigger model (s031) and had the same issue and couldn't figure out why until I noticed that one of the connectors was still attached to the bar and the other was not connected to anything. The other had broken clean off. (I took a couple hard crashes learning to fly it.) My church had an "inexpensive RC helicopter" on their wish list for VBS. It's turned into a little more expensive since I had to order replacement parts. ;-D I also got the s107 which is a lot easier to fly.

@TheBeatSmith No I figured I'd wait until battery performance has been fuct on the 150mah. But did plan on the 240mah later, but that was to counter balance the 6020 tail boom i was going to put on it which is slightly heavier, with the bigger motor. When I removed the balance bar thing that destroys 99% of s107s, its just a flattened pied of metal on the shaft. I've considered using a dremmel and making a tiny indentation if this happens again. but yea, cuz had the warranty, loving my s107!
@BrendanStewart10 жыл бұрын
Hey BeatSmith, take a closer look at your upper rotorhead. notice how it pivots (or used to) on a set of two stationary pins. If the pins are there, that wobbling is normal. It uses the counter weighted flybar to stabilize the upper rotors and keep them parallel with the ground Make sure the rotor head is wiggling only side to side NOT up and down, otherwise this will create an elliptical (egg shaped) oscillation that causes the blades to produce more lift on one side of the heli than the other, tipping the craft to the side of less lift. Best of luck!

@TheBeatSmith I've made tons of changes and mods, and plan far more. I'm waiting on 240mah batterys because I'm planning on using a compUSA heli that doesn't interfere as a 4th channel, and adding two things in this order. 1. RC grenade launcher or mock white phosphorusattack, and 2nd, im going to use the trim of xtraRC to cause a small bar to transfer weight to make it roll, I've pushed these things to thier limits and love outdoor night fly.Look up syma s107 streamlined night

The syma s107 of course. If you have some flying time under your belt then I would look at the syma f106...its a four channel. That means as you progress to bigger copters the radio controls are the same until you go to a six channel then its a whole new ball game because of inverted flight. But the s107 and f106 are pretty tough and can take a few crashes but in the end, they all need repair at some point. Hope that helps.

I guess you have the problem resolved by now? I just replaced one of the gears, mine sounded noisyer then it did, and it went a little to noe side. In my case the one small gear that was between the motor (not the gear on the motor or the gear on the main shaft) and the main shaft, has some ground off teeth on the smaller (tiny) top part of the gear. I had luckly ordered aan extra gear set and an extra set of blades when I ordered my Syma 107. Good luck and let me know what was wrong with yours?

LOL...good try Jared but that's not the problem...this is a 3 channel helicopter, so the tail rotor will not spin until the elevator is pushed forward or backwards. The actual problem was the connection knobs on the fly bar were broken and thusly not connected to the main shaft. That caused the fly bar was out of balance and that's why the heli leaned to the side and would not fly....Rest assured though...I fixed the heli and it stills flies but I am now flying 6 channels helis.

Look at the top blade just inside the flybar.....there are two little knobs that connect to the flybar to the main shaft. Most often they were broken after a crash.. You will have to buy a full repair kit to fix it....it's costs about $5 on amazon or Amainhobbiesdotcom. But to be honest, it may not be worth fixing since the s107 has come down in price $15 -$20 bucks....mind was $30. On the other hand...fixing it will help you understand what makes these birds fly. good luck.
