The Citroen has been rock solid so far so I'm treating it to new seats, new wheels and a new steering wheel as well as finishing off the repair after it was written off.

Very good makeover. I have a red Citroen C3, I've had it 10 years. Although I've recently bought a newer Citroen C3 in grey, I'd love to get my red one a makeover. It needs the two seats replaced because the backs are ripped. Window winders replaced, as they're snapped off. The central console replaced which I'm currently in the process of doing. I'm short of getting the car scrapped but it's a good runner and I'd like it to have some tlc. No chance of me doing the seats myself though.

The seats are actually easy, finding a suitable replacement pair is the trick. They're a great little car, I've had loads of them, I'm on a ds3 at the moment.

It's a common fault wit the earth, add a permanent earth straight to the bulb cluster with a wire to the body of the car, the earth pin will go again eventually

I have the same car in Brazil. 2012 C3 Exclusive 1.4 . Id like to know if they change too many things on the car from one country to the other. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching.I don't think they do change things. All they European ones made in France. Yours was made there in Brazil so maybe a few changes for that market. It's all about maximum profits for PSA, the more they change the less profit they make.

I have a 08 c3 and the exhaust runs along the other side close to the jack points

I'm guessing the exhausts are different for the different engine types. Mine is the 1.4hdi (70) with dpf.

This video comes to me as a refresher. I didn't have a clue that seats from Pug 207 fit almost perfectly nice to C3s and that's nice, because I plan on replacing the original C3 seats. The thing is - did you use seats from 207 3D/5D HB, CC or SW? Does it make any difference at all?

In the video we take out a set of seats from a 307, but by the magic of video editting it's a completely different set that go into the c3. The 307 seats ended up in my vivaro because I found a pair of 207 seats that matched the rears of the c3 far better. It's a while back now but I think they were from a 3 door but it shouldn't matter. What matters is it improves the comfort so much.

@@subarzakk left the rears as c3. I suspect too tricky to do but if you get a set of 206/7s for free it would have to be worth a try.

I have the same car as yours with 15 inch rims the car is a little bit high from the back and this effects on it's stability any advise to get it lower 2 or 3 cm ?

Usually they look high at the back because the front is too low. Check you dont have a broken spring on the front or that a previous owner has replaced a front spring with an incorrect one (1.1 springs go too low on diesel or a 1.6) For safety replace springs in pairs. For looks a lowering kit (max 30mm i'd say) for comfort new shock absorbers. hope you sort it.

is it correct that the wires of the 207 plug from the seat airbag when you replace the existing c3 plug to the new seats , to only beware of matching the ground (yellow/green colour ground cable ) meaning there is no plus or minus on the other wires since it responses on resistence (ohm) instead of running power through it. What i mean is except the green yellow one, the other plug cables are interachangebale colours. Since I cant find out which wire is plus and which minus from the airbags.Please let me know. Thanks for this video btw i am replacing 207 seats now too

Really long time since I did this, so be careful!!! Just a pair of cables so connect like for like. the car reads resistance across the cables so as long as airbag is not faulty or used it shouldn't matter which way round.

My Citroen C3 doesn't move forward when the gear is in first and second gear. But not all the time just some times. What can it be??

mine has the same problem..sometimes it doesnt go forward on first gear (automatic diesel)..and after 10 sec it gets second gear by itself and moves..i thinkt its the robotic or the clutch

Does the seats fit correctly,any rubbing on the sides ,and are they same on the bolt holes?thank you

Yes bolt holes are exactly the same. seats are tight on the outer side but dont rub. They make the car much more comfortable. well worth doing.

The seats are from 307 or 207 because on the video you take out seats from 307 and said 207 ,btw i dont have airbags on my standard c3 seats

I think the pre facelift c3 didn't have airbags which is easier to deal with. Well spotted about the 207/307 thing. The seats we remove in the yard are now in my vivaro. I went back and got some 207 seats that were a better match in colour for the c3.

@@workspacecda6023 you can happily leave them alone. they do nothing without the cables. Seat belt warning cable is easy just reuse your original belt catch.

theyre 17"s. in the video it has tyres that were on the wheels when i bought them but i've lowered the profile when i bought new tyres now 40. looks better and speedo reads correctly and doesnt rub on full lock.

The wheels are Rim style (RS) 17" not sure of the model but they do list them on thier website. I've sold them on now back on the originals because I lent the car to my professional friends.

As far as I know the exhaust is a standard unit. It's still got the cat and the dpf on this one but I'm planning a build with both removed (hopefully resulting in more power)
