Scandi bevel whittles better. I love Mora Bushcraft for the purpose. My girl will prefer this Mora Clipper to her small hand. Anyway Chosera #3000 allows us strict sharpening.

I studied medicine when I was a medical college student from many books written in English. When I was a young doctor, I lived in a petroleum exporting country to support a Japanese team for half an year. And still now I study English to teach my girl to let her enter a medical college. Thanks.

I have ever done edge endurance test of 3V twice in field deer dressing. I remember both 3V Bravo1 and 3V Fox River held up to 5 deer or so. I haven't tested 3G TK2 such extensively. But I remember it held up to 3 deer. Anyway in my current opinion 3V is even harder and more durable than 3G. Thanks.

It is quite amazing how different 3000 grit to 2000 grit seems to be!!

I read on a knife forum that stropping was not necessary if you used a very fine grit stone and your technique was good. Your results seem to show a good improvement by stropping.

It's a fact according to Mora. The carbon steel is 1095 with a HRC 59-60. The Laminated steel is 1095 carbon with a softer alloyed steel outer layer, HRC 61. The Stainless is Sandvik 12C27, HRC 57-58.

Mora "Carbon Steel" as far as I have ever known is 1095 steel. They place the "Carbon Steel" on the blades to distinguish between it and their Stainless Steel. Typically, they also offer laminated carbon steel, which is also 1095 steel. And, great videos by the way, I subbed you!!!

No. I have never counted it. My apex is off center a bit almost always because my honing angle is always a bit larger in the reverse motion than in the forward motion. The sifted apex works positively to get backstraps holding the knife with the right hand to slide the edge on the bones. Thanks.

Hello maybe a bit late after 5 years but i just sharpened my Mora Stainless and i thought it didnt end up very sharp (all my ganzo folderknives did) so i thought maybe i was doing something wrong with apex but i did it same like you , did strop with medium and fine compound on leather strop after but not razorsharp. I didnt count but i see you dont count either for perfect apex, i really dont know why i cant get the skandi''s razorsharp hmmm....

Some times, Wako, I think maybe you were born in the wrong era and should have been a togimonoshi many years ago! Wonderful video as always.

I’ve watched so many of his videos and I’m still terrible at using the stones. I think I get nervous and mess up lol.

you can purchase this knife at "bauhaus" hardwarestores for 7,95 euro. it comes with a red sheath which makes it the only "never-lost" mora with high carbon blade at 2mm i know of. go and get one! or three. (check out mora companion heavy duty orange for a never-lost 3,2mm hc blade)

Sorry for all the questions Wako, but I can only ask your opinion: How do you like 3G vs 3V in terms of usage and sharpening? How does your Fallkniven TK2 stand up to your Gunny Hunter and Fox River 3v?
