I've always been a My Scene girlie, they were much more present to me compared to Bratz. They keep in my heart culturally for the brands website, iconic webisodes and games, tie-in movie dolls etc. Them being the cool non-pink doll line for a teen demographic just got me. I wouldn't mind if they do reproductions to test the market for starters even tho I do own the original. I want to see how they can archive the quality, face-screenings and individual fashions.

A new Madison doll would make me so happy.

I'd rather see reproductions of the My Scene: Masquerade Madness dolls. I would buy those in a heartbeat! Those are so expensive now.

My best guess is their reproductions of the original 3, they saw how successful the Bratz comeback reproductions were and want a piece of that money.

I’m very enthusiastic on their comeback 😆 they are my favorite doll line I collect, I know Mattel’s current state and quality is so below the quality My Scene used to have at their beginning , but I’ll remain hopeful cause the MH original dolls reproductions had an exceptional quality for a reasonable price

Mattel be scared that the competition might overtake the market while all they need to do is just listen to their consumers demand that is all basic business lesson 101. Articulate dolls in affordable price dolls,better garment design and fabric etc.... the idea of selling quality goods have been long lost to mattel now I guess just imagine how much their market chart will grow if they just distribute a 5-8 $ doll with articulation so we can actually buy and collect actual diversity not just shallow marketing diversity where we have to pay 30$+ to get a diverse articulated body

I am so excited to see this! I still have the originals, and My Scene remains one of my favorite doll lines ever. I always chose Barbie/My Scene over Bratz. If these will be reproductions, it will be interesting to see how they measure up compared to the originals. I'll have to do a comparison if I get them. :D Too bad about Barbie Rewind and Barbie Extra. The Rewind series could have gone beyond the 80s inspiration. Barbie will be 65 this coming year, so that's six decades worth of inspiration they could use for that series. I can't wait to find out more!

It does feel that My Scene could plug the gap left by Barbie Extra/Barbie Looks/Barbie Rewind, it feels like they need a new line of Barbies to interest doll buyers who don't want to buy endless Colour Reveal (or similar) dolls or Fashionistas. Sadly I'm sure that Mattel don't have a clue what they're doing at this stage so it could just be a collector reproduction line.

I actually thought the my scene Barbie line was always going to happen since I saw the Barbie the movie. Then there was the thing about the kids names being a hint at them or a dig at Bratz. I’d be ok with reproduction dolls or new playline dolls.

Based on the price alone, I cant imagine they're reproductions of the first wave dolls, considering the MH reproductions are $25 and fully articulated, so can't see them charging $15 extra for a non articulated doll with just one extra outfit. I'm imaging its a Haunt Couture type situation with updated versions of the core girls styles, with new screenings, rooted lashes etc, or at least thats what i'm hoping for!

They need to do the movies again. I loved watching those when I was younger and I know my daughter would love them❤

The Monster High reproduction dolls cost 27$. Based on the 40$ price range I have a feeling we may be getting tribute dolls or reimagined designs. Then again if there's one thing Mattel loves doing is making overpriced repro dolls. So I don't know. If they're reproductions and they cost 40$ I won't be buying. If they are reimagined collector level dolls then I'll gladly pay 40$.

I think if we revamp the line they should lean away from club culture. I don’t think Gen Z is really into it the same way Gen-X and Millennials used to be. But who knows. I’m super excited as someone who used to love myscene as a kid.

I hope they bring the earlier screening, that would be so amazing! I would like to see a good articulated body. I think Mattel should open this brand for just Adult collectors that will not make drama for a mini skirt or make up, and collaboration with designers will be a great option as well. SARAN hair and to die for accessories. I'm so exited!!!

I'm pretty sure they aren't legally allowed to sell them because of the whole infringement suit involving carter bryant so unfortunately I don't think they're coming back

I'm honestly terrified thinking about Mattel bringing back My Scene! They obviously can't handle making good quality Barbies in today's world. Look at the Fashionistas as a prime example! Cheap poly hair, pixelated face screening, UGLY fashion designs that don't match, paper thin clothing, and clunky unpainted accessories. My Scene is way too iconic to be downgraded in such a manner! I personally hope they cancel this idea altogether, I just don't trust Mattel with this. 🧐💭

Considering that Mattel never received the rights to the design stolen from Bratz, I think they will again lose a couple of tens of millions to MGA.
