Our school has trash Chromebooks with 90% of the internet blocked and 90% of the computer blocked. Can’t do anything thing on them anymore.

I found a way around this, all you have to do is connect to a different WiFi network than your teacher/put on a vpn and they shouldn’t be able to see your screen. 👍

My chromebook my school provides also has something similar, it’s called goguardian and does essentially everything your teachers can do to your ipad but to our chromebooks. I ended up just buying my own laptop for school for 100$ and at least this laptop performs better even though it’s 7 years old

A couple years back my school iPad did this. I was able to get the software off by putting it into DFU mode, and forcing a backup I made from a personal iPad I had. The school still detected that the software was on there but the iPad didnt acknowledge that it was on there so I went undetected all through middle school. In high school they just gave us mostly unrestricted iPads 😂

My school does the same thing, if they lock your iPad you can just shut it down then re-boot it and it will remove the lock.

Our school had normal laptops with Linux in it and they blocked everything you can't even insert pendrives, so our class boys came up with a solution, we found out that the bios is accessible. So we plugged in pendrives in the bios menu and installed Ubuntu with no restrictions and we were able to play most of the game. The reason for choosing Ubuntu is so that we can easily switch users. When the teacher came we hit alt+f4 continuously and school user will pop up. It was fun we played many games online during free hours

If they lock your iPad you can just restart you iPad and it will be unlocked (unless they patched it)

For my school I figured out that when the teachers lock your iPad you can power off your device and turn it back on unlocked. If KZfaq is blocked you can copy and paste the link (on another device) into a sareshare link website. That link will be able to get you to KZfaq on your school device. Before our school froze the WiFi setting, you could just connect to a different WiFi (ex your phone hotspot), this will not allow them to view or freeze your screen. Hope this helps!

Little tip: when ur teacher locks ur ipad fully lock it and open it by holding the lock button for about 4 seconds then it should work again

My school has two wi fi’s and one of them lets the teacher look at your iPad through Apple classroom and the other one can’t let teachers see it

My school uses chromebooks and one of the things that has downloaded on all of the teacher's things is called Suki well securely, it allows them to take control of your mouse block. Your sgreen close out of tabs. Open tabs block certain tabs. Block certain apps if necessary I had a teacher who blocked Google once.

We use dell laptops and the school used something called lanschool. They can see ur history, see ur screen, but they can also CONTROL YOUR COMPUTER

at my school i have classroom on our ipads too. what i use is to turn ur bluetooth off (in settings). it will say “not connected” when you look in settings. when ur teacher looks on their macbook, it will say your offline

We have CK express on chrome books and it blocks any wabsite that had words like ‘games’ or ‘unblocked’, which often includes websites that we actually need to access for school. If also glitches out half the time and makes the whole chrome book unusable

fun fact: you can just go to settings and turn those things off but teachers can still see what app you’re on so either turn off wifi or connect to another wifi network, for example a hotspot because apple classroom only works when you’re on the same wifi

As someone who worked for a public school IT technician, we can see everything, if u read the student handbook and technology policy, we can literally see and do anything.

Y‘all are even lucky enough to get any iPad (or even Chromebook) to take home. Our school has iPads, no App Store and they‘re very locked down. They get used about once a month and thats it. Can’t get to take them home obviously. It’s still a dream to me being able to use any kind of tablet or laptop during class.
