Love your blu ray collection buddie. We have similar tastes in movies Friday the 13th is and will always be my favourite horror franchise. My mum's bought me the box set as part of Christmas this year so excited about getting that on my shelf

Dawn of the Dead 2004 is one of my favorite horror movies. That Dog Soldiers Second Sight set is sick just watched it the other night, great transfer and the box artwork is cool

I believe Black Christmas is a Canadian slasher, it's probably the first one as well since I can't think of any other Canadian slasher films before it. I'm pumped for that Severin collection video dude, they're my favorite label. Your SF collection puts mine to shame lmao

4k seems like a waste of money. How much more clear and color enhanced do you need these movies? All these older movies are naturally grainy anyway. Blu Ray seems to already be so clear

Yeah a lot of the time, the difference is hardly noticeable, but there are sometimes that the change is drastic. The child’s play films look really crisp on 4k!

Awesome Scream Factory Collection brother! I also liked the 2004 Dawn Of The Dead remake better than the original. I also can’t wait to grab Dog Soldiers. I’m double dipping. One of the best werewolf movies I’ve seen.

Awesome collection man! Understand what you mean about keeping movies that you don’t like but you would have more space honestly if you got rid of ones you don’t plan of watching again, and I definitely agree on the 4K thing! Idk why they are just putting the theatrical artwork, it makes you not even wanna upgrade because the blu rays had amazing artwork, that’s one reason people loved scream factory was because of the beautiful covers and now they’re ditching them

If someone broke in and stole all your DVD/BRs, how much do you think that your Home Owners Insurance would pay out to you minus any applicable deductible? If its not between 75 and 100% of what you are actually out of pocket you should check into adding a rider to your current policy.

I imagine Carrie, Sleepaway Camp, and Silent Night, Deadly Night will be getting a 4K release from SF eventually. I’d be surprised if they didn’t. If Vinegar Syndrome wasn’t releasing Texas Chainsaw 2 they probably would have. I’m still surprised VS is releasing it as it seems like a film that’s too big for them. I love VS but their films can be hits or misses with tons of Misses. The Slip will be incredible for it though

I honestly see Scream releasing most of their old releases assuming they still hold the rights to them. I completely agree with everything you said about VS. I too was shocked to see them releasing TCM2, but they also recently announced the original Amityville Horror, so they may be putting their hands into the mainstream market. I’m excited about it!
