I've found the door to my mix was going through head voice and down... Going up from chest means you drag some of that weight up instead of blending.

Make baby sounds instead then do the Lee exercise(for head mix), It worked to me, i hope it works for u

Make baby sounds and then do the Lee exercise, The baby sounds is ur door to ur mix and the Lee engage ur diaphragm and chest voice and makes ur singing clear. However that is for finding head mix i believe, idk abt chest mix

I might woulda been able to carry a note if I had someone like him teaching me. My music teacher cracked knuckles so I literally would never sing around her to keep me from going to a youth facility & her from having a broken hip. I had planned to push her down if she hit me in grade 7.
