Honestly, that whole break down section in the middle is one of the best in pop history. Completely different vibe, melodic, great groove etc. It's the perfect little song inside of another song.

Possibly the most overlooked, underrated, most creative rock guitar solo of all time, and Cam absolutely killed it. Great job!

Right on! To me, Berton Averre is the power-pop, somewhat more bombastic version of Elliot Easton (unless Elliot Easton is already the power-pop version of Elliot Easton).

@@jeffjohnson895 Or it just isn't listed high enough. I saw a list several years ago that had it at around #36 for all-time guitar solos. If it's not my #1, it's in my Top 10.

What a great performance! Everything was right: the guitars, bass and drums, but what really blew me away was Darren's as a front man acting out the song with poise and style. Unbelievable! And I will add that Crafty's antics bring character and good mood to the song.

Daren's producing skills are second to none! I can play his music on my phone and it still sounds good! He has the magic touch😊 Loved this, all so talented and look like they are all in their zone and enjoying it! That's what music is about, bringing joy to yourself and others!

I’ve been listening to this song since I was a kid when it came out and I sadly never appreciated that epic guitar solo. Wow. You guys always slay.

If you didn't have the album or didn't hear it on album-oriented radio, all you got was the single version, which cut out that killer solo. It's about 58 seconds long. To me, it's one of the greatest guitar solos ever.

@@Prof_JeffI started playing guitar in 1977 as a kid. I got the album when it came out and agree: both of the solos, but especially the main one, is one of the most tasteful solos, especially on a pop tune. No cookie cutter scales; every note serves the tune (and the shout out to Jimmy Page was so wonderful to hear!). Underrated band if you ask me. I think possibly because of the radio edit. As a former rock n roll photographer, it's also one of the most iconic album overs ever.

Nice! ❤ I used to wake up to this blasting out at6.30am every morning in first year at Uni hostel in 79. ‘Flash’ across the hall had a stereo turned up to 11 each morning. I never got sick of it, My Sharona inspired a good start to the morning.❤️

Holy cow. This is freakin' awesome. In my world this is one of the top 3 songs ever for me for just good old rock n roll (along with "Sugar Sugar" and "Incense and Peppermints"). Great job on the vocals Darren and Cam that lead was mind blowing. Loved the solid bass and drums and rhythm guitar that gives this song its signature sound. Made my week hearing this one. 🎶🎶❤❤✌✌

Man that was a great debut album Get the Knack. Oh Tara, Good girls dont, Maybe tonight etc. First album I bought back in the day. Actually saw them live at a County fair about 20yrs ago. Great live band

Ya know... There has really never been a better album than Get The Knack for College Parties and Weekend Summer parties in the Hamptons (Long Island, NY) through the 80s and 90s. That whole album is really in a class of its own and YOU GUYS JUST OWNED IT! As far as I'm concerned, you can do all the songs on it and since Doug and Bruce are no longer with us, It would still be like they were here and just finished the album. On Tour! I guess you OWN all of it now! BRILLIANT! Remember when music was this much fun? Thanks Gentlemen. That was one of the best trips back in time EVER!

Tight band! My favorite song growing up. Our local radio station Q107 would insert a laser blast sound effect at the stop (4:18). Whenever we'd be playing back our cassette tapes recorded off the air, you could tell if the recording was from Q107 by that sound effect.

My Sharona was Billboard's 1979 Song of the Year at a time when disco music was still the rage and SIL has brought the heat back to the fans once again. Great performance, especially the lead guitar. Awesome !

Ok, so here's an update. I have listened to ALL the songs on BOTH channels and there truly are some amazing ones. But this song for me is still #1. It is a perfect replica of the original and do I dare say it?.... even better. This team right here is the best. Thank you so much again.
