We all miss Spencer I'll keep you in my prayers

I am 10 minutes into the video and I had to stop. My wife and I had a crash too. My wife was burnt over 50 percent of her body. She turned 30 in the burn center. We truly know what you are going through. We were lucky in that we did not lose each other. The debreeding, surgeries , and the scaring inside and out are all familiar to us. My heart breaks for your pain and the loss you have sustained. I would imagine that there is a support group at the burn center, please use it. I really don't know how to end this, so I am sending you a virtual hug from an old papa.

Just after high school I lost my fiancé the same way. I retired a few years ago and it feels like I lost her yesterday, the feeling doesn't change when you love someone as much as you both did. You and Spencer had something most people could never dream of, and because of that he will always live through you. Best luck always. Dust Buggy #1

So sorry for the loss of Spencer. He and you have been missed for several months. I am used to seeing you guys at about every event and your enthusiasm about the Baja world. In the back of my mind I figured you were just having fun doing other stuff. So sorry to hear about this. somehow fortunately you survived. (although at times I bet you feel so unfortunate). When you told the story I could just see the look on Spencer's face....Determined as he was to save your lives.....But it was out of his hands. The other drivers carelessness was something he could not control. Thank you so much for making this video. I know it must have been one of the hardest things to do, But talking about it helps your mind to process......Burying it is much worse.....Hope to see you soon....and never give up on yourself or your dreams. As much as it hurts it is so important to push on and live... You were Spared and you are important for some reason even though it might not feel like it. You will find happiness again. Keep your head up and take every day one at a time.

It really sucks what you've been through and are continuing to go through. Probably the hardest thing you'll ever go through in life. It will get better. Hard to see right now but it will get better. Keep your head up.

I have a 72 Super beetle that is a Baja I picked up last winter. That's how I found the dust buggy channel and came upon your adventures . I enjoyed your work and I am very , very sorry for your loss. You are a special person. You have been through so much. I truly hope that you will be able find joy again and share more bug videos with us. Super beetles are apparently not ideal for converting into Bajas but you and Spence did it. You vids help me to understand what I need to do to make mine better 😅

We are praying for you to one day gain back this lovely amazing person you were before this; please do not lose this part of yourself and know one day she will come back to you if you allow her to shine through again.

Spencer will live on with you and through you. Not watching the videos is something I went through when I lost a loved on. But watching them actually helped me to realize all the great times we had together. I think they could help. But only you know what you need to do. You both influenced a lot of us bug heads.. y’all even got me looking for a Super to make a Baja.. nobody does that. That’s how much we all care. Once your healed.. if you can continue on with this.. I think you will find something positive will come from it. You can never replace someone.. but you honor them the best you can. With you people can remember Spencer. I wish you the best and you can make it!

It took me 3 attempts off an on to finish this video, I wanted to make sure I could commit my attention to it when I was watching it. My heart truly aches for you. I subbed to you guys when I got my 70 bug and I loved the content you guys made, it really made getting into the bug scene fun and organic. Spencer was truly a hero for doing everything in his power to try and keep you guys safe in such an awful event. I realize I'm a stranger and words are a fk all when it comes to comforting someone, but you need to know that just carrying on like you have shows more strength than the vast majority of people out there. I don't even know if I would have the strength if I had to go through that, my wife is my best friend and literally my other half. So for any opinionated ass hat that pushes you to move on they can go pound sand. You just keep on focusing on yourself healing emotionally and physically on your time. Much love from AZ.

Hello, it’s John, I know we’ve chatted a few times I know sometimes it’s hard when people tell you it’ll be better give it time, you’re so strong, etc. etc. and they are right but as we both know, but until that day gets here, life is really fucked up and it sucks. I mean it’s five years for right now, I am just now starting to think my glass is half full and I’m starting to get back to doing the things I like to do. The best thing I did and unfortunately I waited a couple years before I finally excepted the fact that I needed to talk to somebody was talk to somebody professionally. Luckily, my insurance paid for it, but it really helped. Take care until next time, and try to keep busy because all that stinking thinking is a terrible thing. ❤❤

I'm soooo sorry you're going through this. Please, please focus on healing yourself. You're clearly a tremendously resilient person. Command yourself to heal. Do all of the things to stay healthy. I watched all the way to the ending in which to say i love ur hair style and yet u have a beautiful smile when you smile ur eyes lites up. To answer questions, yall didnt do anything wrong to anger God. Must understand if not now then later that everything happens to bring about something we dont understand at the current time but time does heal all things and one day you will see and understand why all this has happened. Ive lost several peep very close to me, n yet i still face things to where im in hospital for weeks cause tragic hits with my parents, ive asked same questions. But one day you will know why. Main thing is lean on people that is here for you. To gain strength. Its to plain to see that theres a strong n good reason why you were left here. Be strong. Let urself continue to heal, pets are a big plus. A cats purring held to ur chest heals, you can google it. N so will love from dogs. I can't even imagine going through all of those medical procedures much less loosing my wife. You are so strong and I'm sorry this happened to you. It was good seeing you smile again. We love you your in our prayers.

Just finished the video. 😢 Damn. Both my wife especially and I remember all of the surgeries. Skin grafts. The itching ( benadryl helps), the Jobes pressure garments, changing the bandages and the why me. If I had only did this or that. All the questions. Please go to the support group and when you can, fire up the dust buggy and be with the friends you and Spencer had together. Again hugs.

Find anything to hold onto day by day ♥️ … I had a kidney transplant some time ago I can relate to some of what you were talking about 3 years of what seemed like torture dialysis. surgery’s I’d never do it again. I made a full recovery since but is there really such thing not really emotions and memories stay with us….. but this isn’t about me I just wanted you to know I heard your words and thoughts and that you are in many people’s thoughts and hopefully you can draw on that as a small part of healing ❤️‍🩹 took so much courage and inner strength to post your video if anything that shows how much of a fighter you are !
