Moving out already and take all your money with you was the smart move. All those adults should take care of themselves. The brother's selfishness and laziness destroyed that household.

Wonder if these leeches thought you would leave your money when you left them.

Most likely, if they even thought that far - or at all.

This story would be much easier to read if you used punctuation.

I'm confused. Carrie was at hospial with her dad but when she got home they said they didn't need her since 'dad' is gone. Don't they hope he'll come back bome?
@albertaadams46406 ай бұрын
I'm thinking " gone" as in no longer able to live at home
@snowangel921004 ай бұрын
I think it's meant that dad was the reason Carrie was allowed to stay home. He was the only person who understood Carrie was actually working. Her mom didn't understand WFH and thought she was slacking on the internet and being a mooch. So when he left, nobody was there to defend Carrie and her work.

I love these stories about the son or daughter supporting the family and the is to dumb to understand what working from home means. and the family don't realize they are supporting the. The daughter was dumb for letting the ride along as long as she before she moved out. (Mississippi Gulf Gulf Coast, USA).

The story was very interesting and has a good message for family related life. That was the up side of the story. Now for the down side. Nothing against the body of the story but it is for the LACK OF PUNCTUATION. In a 15 min, 8 sec conveyance of words, this has to be the LONGEST single sentence in the history of these stories. No punctuation, no capitol letters as in the beginning of a sentence, no periods, comas, apostrophe, just no nothing, like a first grader would write. If you have a part two or any other post, PLEASE use the correct punctuation throughout the written version so people can follow along with the narration. This will make for a better read.

The last story is very interesting, can you make a part 2 of that story? I'm looking forward to it

There must be a million versions of this story these days. If this is supposedly the USA, show them the freaking tax return just to rub it in. If they still don't understand, then you can't fix ignorant. We just went through COVID. One of the big things about COVID was the ability for some to work remotely. I did it for 12 years. My sister is doing it. Her son is doing it. Both have an office within a 15 minute drive. My sister is a manager. Her son works for an aerospace company. He's thinking of moving as he can do the job anywhere. He buys items for satellite construction. All he needs is an airport for the occasional business trip or rare physical presence at work. Her youngest lives in NYC. Has a 18 block walk from E72st to E54st (around Central Park). They only insist on being there in the flesh 3 or 4 days a week. Her middle son does go to an office. His GF works remote. Cube farms don't need to exist with fast internet connections. I used to have Tracfone as my cell phone company. Customer service was in 2 places, Mexico City or Cebu Philippines. The HQ was (maybe still is) in a office park in Florida. While those folks didn't work from home, they also didn't work at the company HQ.

Who did they think was paying all the bills? I'm surprised they hadn't known before, but listening further and thinking about it, I now see the stupid in this story.

I think that if she sat her mother down in the room she works in and she watches her do her job, she might understand what she does for a living. If there was an internet back then, I probably would have had a successful career. Being an introvert, it would have been a blessing for me, I always found it difficult to work with people who I had to deal with. Being a bank teller, I had to work in a public setting. It was exhausting.
