Hey everyone, I just want to say I’m not a skincare expert but I just love skincare and trying products and these are all the things that have really worked for me personally. Feel free to take away or totally ignore me I’m not trying to instruct (I’m pretty sure that’s clear but just for the people who needed even MORE clarity) & if you are going to use this video as an excuse to pick at me and be negative, save your time because I honestly couldn’t care less for the negativity! Skin care tips I’ve learned through trial and error: 1. Natural doesn’t always equal better. Someone making a scrub out of sugar and lemon juice may make a killing on tiktok but it’s sooo abrasive for the skin. And at the end of the day unlike the people who make the formulas of skincare most of us didn’t study chemistry and synthetically put forward and test something in a lab environment when we eyeball how much oatmeal to smear on our face (a thing I have done). 2. SPF is your friend whatever age you are and whatever the weather. find something that has a strong SPF and not just SPF 15 in a foundation like something strong and you’re set. I enjoyed what you said about the sun is out even if it’s cloudy because I say that a lot and people think I’m nuts for putting spf on. But I’m 27 and still get ID’d so.. 3. Natural wasn’t always better and expensive isn’t either. It’s a lot less about price point and more about formulation, yes a serum made of gold and caviar will be expensive but it may not perform as well as something with vitamin C and collagen in it. So get into the fun of learning what formulations and ingredients are good because some cheap alternatives can surprise you (I say as I spend yet another £100 ordering Korean skincare for the month) 3. People say avoid alcohols, avoid chemicals (even though literally water is a chemical but go off) but the only thing I would advise avoiding is fragrances. This is because legally companies don’t need to say what their fragrances and parfum is made of so for all you know it does contain an ingredient you’ll have a reaction to in one that isn’t in another so play it safe and avoid it. Only exception is a cleanser since it won’t sit on your face for long. 4. Water, exercise and sleep are fantastic for your health and keeping you hydrated and energised this is true. And I’ve definitely noticed a difference to the glow in my skin when I am doing those things vs when I’m overworked and barely sleeping and I look kind of grey... but while it gives you that “I’m a healthy functioning adult who just finished a jog and ate almonds” look that we love, getting rid of blemishes and cleaning your skin is something that those healthy lifestyle choices aren’t actually proven to fix. You should still totally do it and you will feel better but if you have a cluster of pimples on your forehead and chin downing water and stuff won’t magic those away. 5. On holidays I used to get told that sitting in the sun would get rid of my spots- it doesn’t. The only thing tanning does that makes your skin seem better is you’re tanning so your skin tone looks more uniform (but that’s actually just that it’s all damaged). Beyond that cleanse, tone, exfoliate sometimes abs mask sometimes and moisturise all the time. And like I say research is everyone’s friend. I for one love finding whatever product performs the best or if I see something that catches my eye I immediately go to KZfaq to see people try it and hear what they said first so take advantage of what you’ve got here :)

As much as I adore Charlotte Tilbury and other makeup brands I find their ‘skincare’ is heavily fragranced which is very bad for the skin and can lead to long term irritation plus the prices are ridiculous for the not so great ingredients. You do not need to invest for good skincare I.e. Cerave, the ordinary and even Korean brands that do amazing SPF products☺️ but you definitely know your stuff! ❤️

Check out Hyram’s videos where he talks about the ordinary products and also discusses affordable skincare that actually has great ingredients! 💓💓

Hi Freddy. I absolutely LOVED watching this! I’m 62 😱but I love the content on your channel and I also LOVE LOVE LOVE skincare...I love make up too but definitely love skin care more! A lot of the products I use, I was very pleased to see you use too because as a young woman, you have a vast amount of knowledge about skincare and I definitely learnt things from you today! I’m definitely going to purchase the reusable cotton wipes and also, will definitely try some of the it cosmetics skincare range-I love their CC Cream and blushes but didn’t know much about their skincare so thanks for educating me on that. Your skin is absolutely beautiful with such a glow about it-you can definitely tell you’ve been an avid skincare user for a good number of years already. I started at 14 using Anne French Cleansing Milk which I suppose was the micellar water of the ‘70’s! Thanks again for this video, it was an absolute joy to watch, as are you! 💞💞😘xxxx

babyhols777 if you tend to get them regularly, especially in the same spot, it might be related to something you’re eating. See if you can find out if there’s something in you’re diet that’s causing it!

I can relate. Try the body shop tea tree oil at night. This works well for me and isn't overly drying. I also like to use the acne patches instead of makeup to cover if I go out. They also have a little medicine in them. Speaking from someone who had cystic acne as a teenager and well into college drinking more water can really help. I reduced my dairy and it helped a little too. Hope this helps❤️

Chin acne can either be hormonal or it can be from what you’re eating. Sugar is the main culprit of chin acne.

My grandma makes fun of me because I spend so long doing my skincare routines, she says jokingly "what, you think you're ugly?" but she doesn't get it--skincare routines just make you feel good! You just feel like you're caring for yourself, it's therapeutic. It's not that I think I'm ugly, it's that I love the feeling of like caring for myself and not really having to think, just like applying these nice-feeling products onto my face and just relaxing, knowing that I'm taken care of. Plus it's nice to see how my skin looks after I've steamed and cleansed and hydrated it, all pink-cheeked and glowy and healthy. It's actually a rather productive way of indulging and decompressing, because you end up with very nice skin and you additionally get a confidence boost from that.

I'm the same re taking make up off, I'm 37 and have never once neglected to take it off before bed. Even during drunken uni days I'd use wet wipes to remove it and then moisturise. I can't even comprehend how anyone could sleep in make up, it must feel disgusting in the morning. Removing make up after getting home from work is the best time, a really good cleanse and then you feel relaxed for the evening

You should really try the camomile cleansing butter from the body shop it’s amazing for taking makeup off, it smells nice and it feels lovely 🌼

If you love the 8 hour nighttime miracle moisturiser for your night cream, you'll love the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask - it's basically the same thing but for your lips. I got mine at sephora when i was in europe, but i think you can get it on amazon. (I have the pink one, it's heaven!)

Hi Freddy, great video. I’m 30 and would like get more into skincare. I’ve never really had problems with my skin either so never felt the need to but now I want to get into a routine. Have you tried the new too faced range and the too faced pillow talk? If not could you do a review on that? Also not skin care but what tanner do you use. I’m not as fair as you but I’m more fair than tanned naturally. And yours always looks so natural xxx
