My snake photography is better than your snake photography

I know the title of this video probably comes off as a bit arrogant or egotistical. However, I actually believe there are many snake photographers who are much better than me. That's not the real point of this video. The real point of this video is to show you how I photograph my snakes. Specifically, how I photograph my snakes to feature them on www.morphmarket.com 😊 I was once told that good photos of snakes really help to sell those snakes. It is my experience that this is the truth. Therefore the point of this video is to show you exactly how I do it. Hopefully seeing my process will help you to take your own snake photos to the best of your ability.

Nice photography tips, Brian--I personally don't think the applying more professional techniques to photographs intended to be shared for business purposes is EVER overkill, but I know there are those out there who might. Your stuff looks amazing, dude--you take pride in what you do, and you obviously love to do it, and I don't think anyone could argue that those two things do not shine through in the finished product. Thanks for putting this out here--I'd be willing to bet we'll see a vast improvement in some of the pictures on Morph Market fueled solely by the tips you have given out. :D

Brian good morning. I was just watching triple B tv n listening to y'all talk about pricing. I heard y'all say ppl look shocked knowing ppl pay $1000+ for a snake but you know those same ppl will turn around n spend $5000 on a dog. Now the snake may live 20 yrs 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk how long most snakes live, but that dog will probably only live 8yrs 🤔🤔 So in reality the money spent isn't really what we think about when you're spending it on something you love n enjoy. I'll never own a snake bc I still have some fear BUT I can say bc of Brian B, Kevin, you etc I NOW HAVE RESPECT FOR THEM. I no longer think that "a good snake is a dead snake" I have actually from watching y'all I've found the beauty in them. I have learned so much from watching all the youtube channels n twitch n omg y'all blow my mind on the knowledge that y'all each have. I've got so many questions about snakes, frogs, lizard's I wouldn't know where to start. As a child I'd just go out n play with reptiles I wasn't ever afraid until I got older and ppl put it in your brain snakes are bad/deadly. I'm from NY originally one of my friends son was walking to his gma house on a pretty spring afternoon n all of a sudden his leg hurt n was bleeding. He was bit by a eastern timber rattlesnake luckily they said bc it was so early in the yr the venom wasn't strong enough yet so he turned out to be ok but they did kill the snake n I don't understand why 🤔🤔🤔

HAHA It's a miracle if I can catch my snakes on videos because they are so strong and healthy and energetic :) With my tremors I really have issues with my cameras and they are really nice but I still enjoy investing the time that I do so I can share my snakes with others :) You've really put out some great quality videos and excellent quality pictures my friend !!

Using light room you can shoot tethered. Connect the camera to the laptop. I do this and just rename the files to the I'd number of the animals. I believe adobes tethered plugin software is now a paid add on. But there are workarounds at least for Fuji Fujifilm has a program call xquire or something. It's not as streamlined as the built in tethered tools Adobe has in Lightroom. Canon may have something. Have you thought about switching to capture one editing software? It's a bit more expensive. But it's not a monthly paid service like Lightroom and Photoshop. In my opinion captureone is a more powerful photo editing software.

I used to use the 100mm macro a lot for snake photos. More recently I've been using the 16-35mm f/2.8 mark iii for almost everything
