I turned my 92 Honda Civic into a wood splitter using the Stickler. It has worked great for me and I wanted to share my experience.

There are more good uses. FOR EXAMPLE saving your life. Lets think about this scenario. Youre out in the woods getting firewood. BAM, an accident occurs! you cut your leg 1 inch deep with a chainsaw (assuming you do not use safety chaps which are a handycap ofc). You found a way to stop the bleeding and you start trying to search for help. Eventually you find an old stolen car, Key is in ofc. Its a Honda Civic. You try to start the engine and it still works. Youre on your way the next hospital which is 3 miles away. YOU could not walk the 3 miles with your Cut leg. YOU Found a car that works. *THE CAR* saved your live. I hope you get what i want to tell you with that.

Take care of your man parts real quick, and watch those loose clothes , it will break a leg in ten places. I did order one for my grand Cherokee cause it will be cheaper than a regular log splitter. Always be careful, wifey told me I’m not doing that lol
@frankrydzinski21034 жыл бұрын
@@Sharpless2 first you have to remove the log splitter from the car and locate the spare wheel? if you dont bleed out by then :)

My dad has one of these 40 years ago! He put it on his daily driver pickup parked in the woods. More than once the wood became a wheel and the truck was off and running. Good times, good times... Dad still has fond memories of that thing, and I still think of it as about the unsafest tool I have ever been around. It does work but it has some safety issues.

He seems to be in one piece at the end and knows the boundaries of splitting wood with an old beat up imported car. The clothing to rotating tool part proved it and the kill switch showed redundancy. Bet he keeps his family nice and toasty throughout winter. Enjoyable video and I rank it a 8/10.
@heaveninc.56569 жыл бұрын
I love it when you see people "reinvent the wheel", but now that you know that it will work as you need, "reinvent your wheel" and do what ever it takes to make it safe also. Safety issues are the only knock on this event, your creativity is awesome.

the knee jerk reaction I think would be to say this is super dangerous, but really, I think, as you said the only dangers are loose clothing and falling into it. the way you designed the shut off switch is pretty good too. so if you consider the dangers of cutting down trees and chainsaws and other types of wood splitters this isn't that bad. but God it looks scary lol

Looks scary, works well. I wonder if building a "loading ramp" down to the point of the auger point wouldn't be a little safer and a little easier on the back? Could gravity feed with a slight angle and be large enough to load several logs at once, using the logs behind the log being split as the weight to apply the pressure. Clever use of an old car. Growing up in Iowa, I saw old farmers do a lot scarier shit than this on a daily basis.

Whats wrong with you? Are you yourself frigging blind? He was more then safe and aware of his surroundings whats wrong with you over cautious safety first whiners? It looks more danderous and scary looking to you folks cause its not what theese machines typically look like. So no matter how safe it actually is you guys will always split your wig's. Do any of you realize you drive with a bomb waiting to explode DAILY right under your asse's? An sometimes your children and grandchildren ride with you in theese bombs, you know what its called? A car, truck, SUV, train, boat, van, wagon, motorcycle,bus semi truck plane, Thats right vehicles in general could potentially kill you and your loved ones even with every safety caution in place in fact car deaths/ accidents kill an injure people Every single day across the world yet you get in or take your mode of transportation Regaurdless of this Knowledge. STFU and GTFO!
@iis4isaac7 жыл бұрын
Having had worked construction and around heavy equipment, the safety feature saves your life not your leg. Being direct drive to the motor, it doesn't stop spinning immediately. Two seconds of continued spinning of the motor and axle will be an eternity if you're bound up in that thing. The only way he could really increase safety is that when he pulls the cord it immediately engaged the brakes. Calling names, telling them to STFU and GTFO, only makes you look foolish. Please... by all means. Go make one of these and use it.
