Hey everyone, I'm back! In today's video, I talk about all the books I will be reading this summer. I'm doing a couple of reading events, a few bookclubs, and some other odds and ends. I am going to skip all adult responsibilities and do nothing but read all summer!

I agree- thankful for technology so we can connect with other book nerds. Our Bradbury group is the best! I'm glad you're starting back up your short story club, too. I hope to participate this time.

I’m going to try for just one short story a month, but I’m not really going to stress out if I miss it. If there’s anything the last month or two taught me, it’s important to go easy on yourself!

I’m so excited you’re rereading Barnaby Rudge, Art! I absolutely loved it-the riot scenes are some of the most visceral and gripping writing by Dickens that I’ve read!!

Glad to see you back! Rereading Mansfield Park is a stretch goal for me this month once I finish Sense and Sensibility. Moby Dick is one of the few books I consider my nemesis… I just completely quit every time! Your family collection of books sounds lovely and very special.

I just reread Dandelion Wine with Tiffany's Patreon! I love it so much. I'm a weirdo who loves Christmas all year long too! Much to my husband's chagrin. Glad to see you back.

It’s always good to meet another Christmas weirdo 😂! I just finished a cozy mystery set at Christmas, and loved it. Helps me fight off the hot temps.

My dad was a fighter pilot in the pacific. He said the same thing as your grandfather. When my dad died I read his Rumpole of the Bailey books. It really helped me cope.

Oh boy, sorry you’ve had a rough time, Art. Really sorry to hear about your dad… I lost my mom last year. Glad to hear your health is improving…. It’s about time you catch a beak! I have wanted to try Moby Dick for a long time, but I feel like it’s one I won’t get to until I retire 😜. It sounds like Lady Chatterly’s Lover may be one you’d like for GarbAugust, if you haven’t read it already. I’m planning to read Dandelion Wine and Something Wicked this Way Comes (with Gareth) this fall. I’m also a Christmas freak…. Even did some Dickens fireside readings this past December.
