Religion is a personal matter, and I would never judge you for converting to where you found peace. The only thing I have an issue with is that you were never a Hindu in the first place. You were just born into a Hindu family so you called yourself a "Hindu". Your family deprived you of knowing what Hinduism and Indian culture truly is and what it stands for. They completely failed to provide you with a peaceful space💔Mind or body. I'm a Hindu and see it as the most practical religion, and I like the sect which I belong to. (Hinduism isn't like other religions, it's very complicated and very different and can vary due to it literally being our culture itself in most cases) I'm sad you weren't given the opportunities to see what it truly means, your family and community failed you. But anyway, I'm glad you're in a good place tho❤️ You should do whatever you like and see fit!

I was born a Christian and remained a Christian till the age of 24. I had my first spiritual awakening and broke free from religion. I now understand that I don't need anyone to save me. And I don't need anyone to dictate to me about how I need to accept a certain being to be saved. I am connected to the ultimate Divine. I am God consciousness. I have huge respect for Jesus,Buddha ,Krishna and others. And the truth is, many Christians don't know the spiritual journey of Jesus.

“We’re separated from God because of ours sins”..... how sad..... in Islam, God tells us that sinning is what makes us human and that a person who sins and repents for it , is the closest to God. Don’t even get me started on the belief that Jesus (peace be upon him) , is God’s son! Us Muslims love Jesus, as he is a beloved prophet of God, NOT HIS SON. God is different, not like us humans, he can’t have kids , it’s just goes against his divine nature. If Christins believe that he “died on the cross to save our sins”, then does that mean that Christians can just go and do whatever they want without being held accountable? In Sanatan hindu dharam people and friends do not ask their friend to come and join their religion, before studying others holy scriptures , first try to understand your own religion first. When you have not tried to understand your own religion and studied about your own holy scriptures first, how can you say that the other religion is better?. First understand Sanatan hindu dharam , it is multi dimensional. We dont say our truth is the only truth and only my religion can give you nirvana. In hindu scriptures we dont ask hindu to go and convert people. It's good that conversion helped you personally, but it's just that before converting if you would have studied hindu scriptures first and tried to understand them than you might have found solace in Sanatan dharm. So happy for you sister that you found Jesus in such a young age. I had to struggle for a while before God called me. I had been called by God through some folks from church who were there to share the gospel and I would be like I know the gospel but no thanks. However eventually I was down on my knees in life and when I thought I had no strength left to move forward then bam there was God in my life. He gave me many calls before but I didn't hear his call but when I needed him he didn't forsake me. It sounds funny when I tell ppl I was in Christian school since primary 3 all the way to 12th grade and I wasn't Christian through out all those years. However more than a decade later I converted to being a Christian from Hindu myself. And I haven't looked back. I changed as a person to be more compassionate and caring and more courageous in life. All thanks to God. When I was down in the darkest valley with no strength God found me and accepted me as who I was and I changed because his unconditional love does wonders in your life.

What you were before and what you are now is nothing to do with religion. Anyway, read SatyaPrakash, it's a good book on religion.

Not the first time a Hindu woman changed their faith for a man. Doesn't say anything about your new faith but it does say a lot about you and the fact that you were never Hindu to begin with. Had you been a religious Hindu that became Christian that'd be a different story. You were basically just someone that called themselves Hindu because your parents, grandparents, etc were that but never took the time to read the scripture yourself and then found a man who happened to be Christian and in order to be with him decided to adopt his faith. I personally couldn't fathom changing my faith for someone else let alone change to an Abrahamic faith, particularly Christanity or Islam, whom oppressors have used these faiths to subjugate, r/pe, loot and commit g/nocide on my poeple because of what they *think* we believe in but in actuality are just ignorant. I've known too many Hindus who become Christians or Muslims and then become gravely sick and their lives go downhill. To each their own though.

Last year I wanted to convert to Christianity and was wondering if Jesus Christ died for our sins and humanity. Why did humanity even get worse? 1. Roman wars, World wars 1,2? 2. Slave drivers and the killing of Native Americans? 3. Racism and superiority? Most of the things happened from European ancestry and deep followers of Christ, so did the bible mislead them or doesn't teach someone how to love like Jesus or it's just religious superiority or for the sake of money or the control over the people thinking capability for finding the truth.
