As someone who did come up in the church, I think they would have stifled you and you would have had a lot of unlearning to do before you could be this bold and obedient to the Lord. You skipped the nonsense and got right to the Truth. I believe God is raising many from outside of Church "culture" to shake us up and remind us of who he actually is.

Sad to say but you don't need the church to have God-God is the church and if you have God then you are the Church. My mom went to church but didn't take me much which is strange but I ended up going to a church and soon learned everywhere I went that things weren't right.
