I will show you how to read, however the point of the book is to understand the theory on a practical level as is required for improvising, not reading, music. If you want to learn to read music that is also covered though! As I say this is more about internalising the theory rather than reading it and a lot of it is actually explained in text rather than notation. Absolutely! Day 1 onwards from finding the notes on the instrument, string names etc all the way up to jazz fundamentals
