Hey love your videos! I got the UP Luxury Suspension with sway bars at stock ride height installed December 2021 for my 2021 Tesla Model Y LR and have absolutely loved it! I have it set up at settings 6/32 all around with cold pressure set to 38/39 PSI (after driving a couple miles it’s nominal PSI is around 41/42) on my Michelin Pilot 4S tires. It has been very comfortable with all these settings, while I doubt it’ll ever be as comfortable as a Mercedes it’s still much closer. My sway bars are set to medium which also helps significantly with steering and sway without having harshness. Ive driven over 40,000 miles since getting them installed and have found this set up to be the best. I tried many different configurations but the ones I’m rocking currently seem to be great so far.

Nice! It's been said to death - but couldn't help thinking again today as I drove over the bunker buster speed bumps at work how happy I am with the 2023 MY stock 'comfort' suspension - what a game changer - and kudos to Tesla for listening. BTW, like the splash guards (mud flaps)! Just installed mine this week. Keep up the great wok, Gjeebs!

@Gjeebs I don't have the UP coilovers but have BC racing and they've been great. They have 30 clicks of compression/rebound and at full soft settings they're softer than stock was. A few clicks up and they're the same as stock. I keep the fronts at 2 and 5 at the rears for daily driving and it's been fine for me.

Totaled my first Model Y last august when a teen ran a stop sign. I broadsided him but my dog and I walked away without a scratch.. Bought another one identical to and got the year-end discount of $7K!. The ride is so much improved over a first year Y that I don't even think about ride quality anymore. My first was VIN 31024 and was one of the first group of Model Y's that had no visual defects. Tesla just keeps improving the car and I really love the Spotify interface after this latest update. Thank you, Gjeebs, for the great videos and honest appraisals of Tesla vehicles. And I really want to see your review of tires!

@@GjeebsI have a 2021 Model Y Performance; replaced the wheels with Fast EV 01+ 19" with 255/45/19 Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires - and the ride feels a lot better! At some point I am thinking of getting the Mountain Pass Performance suspension kit with a 1.75" lift kit.

I have the sport coil overs from Unplugged Perfromance for my M3 SR+ and it rides so much better than stock. Lowered to a 2 finger gap so aesthetically pleasing also!

I have a 2020 model Y and got the UP Luxury Coilovers. I had them installed to stock height and set to very soft. After about 6 months the car started to lower it self. I took it back to the shop and they raised it back up about 1.5 inches all around, bringing it back to stock height. About 6 months later the car started to sink again. Not sure if I got a bad set of coilovers, but I’m not impressed. The suspension on this car is horrible. I feel every nook and cranny in the road and the car bottoms out on very small bumps and dips. My plan now is to go back to the stock suspension and hope that the Juniper refresh comes with a better suspension and trade it in.

In Europe the gab between gas vs electric is twice as huge vs USA. If it sunny we get to charge completely free most of the time. Gas costs us around 1.8-2 euros a liter

I had only 2 complaints on my Y when I had it. Harsh ride and hard to get service. So I said when they open more service centers I will get another Tesla. They did open a service center near me the other one was over an hour away. So my next purchase will either by my cyber truck that is an early order or maybe a model X. Just depends how long the cyber takes to get to me if not in the next year then I will get the X. Love the Chanel, keep it up. :-)

I bought my Model 3 used and the previous owner had lowered it on KW Coilovers. That has been my only issue with the car and I’m most likely going to replace them with the stock suspension. The ride height has been a huge issue for me, especially in the winter in Minnesota. Otherwise I too love my Tesla.

ICE is so yesterday-not just cost, pollution but the digital experience of EVs. Full climate control without “motor”, regen, quiet… Ok, so I have an S and X with air suspension. They are heavy cars with nice ride. But now I also have a 2023 Y Performance (FSD transfer). YP handles like a Porsche. It’s very fast and suspension is firm but comfortable. With the new pricing it’s a steal. I would rather get a base Y Performance than try to upgrade a Y long range. Everything you get is worth the $$$ difference.

Every rock hit on my model Y windshield is rainX crack repaired to mitigate the glass cracking in the future!! Fortunately, this has worked!

If you can get the tax credit, definitely jump on that, especially because you won't have to wait very long to do taxes and get it back. Cybertruck probably won't be available for a year or two once they actually start production on it, plus you want to let those early reservation holders beta-test it so Tesla can work out the kinks on it.

I got a 2020 Model Y Performance, and overall love it, but man, tires for the 21 inch Uberturbine wheels are around $1600-1800 for a set of 4, and I went through 2 sets of rears, completely my fault because (0-60 mph/100 kph is awesome, and i have to put those Civics and Camrys that try to race me in their place lol. Plus my train of thought is "You don't get a Performance Tesla to drive it efficiently", which is why I don't use chill mode either. I ended up buying a set of 19 inch Geminis from someone local for around $2k, and overall it's felt better. If nothing else tires in that size are around $1k-1200, which is a little easier on the wallet.

I think you would have been better off with the TEIN Enduro Plus on stock springs. Much more comfy and also best value. Great recap man and can’t wait to see your video with the all season tyre. Which ones ? I went for the crossclimate 2 and waiting to receive them !

Hello, how many kilowatt hours can you charge at home in the USA on the wallbox? In Europe it is up to 22 kilowatts per hour, but most cars can only do 11 kW in one hour

Hey Gjeebs, great channel, very informative and entertaining! I have 2022 MYP, I moved the 275's to the front wheels and bought MICHELIN PSAS4's 295's for the rear wheels. Night/Day difference on the ride quality. I also have 2023 MYLR for the vaca home and suspension has improved from previous models. Also what's your hold up on the X. I am planning to trade my MYP in 1st qtr 2024 if they offer same or better deal. From my under standing 2024 Fed Tax credit will be at point of sale.

Are you with APS or SRP? Your home charging cost sounded high compared to mine on SRP. I pay just over $0.06/kwh to charge via SRP. Which puts me under $5 to charge from 0-100%.

I'd suggest shopping around. i started out with Tesla insurance because Geico quoted me $1500 per six months. After a few months I decided to shop around and ended up with Progressive for $400 per 6 months. I've seen others get quoted crazy rates with Progressive and cheap ones at Geico. I'm sure there's a lot of variables at play so best to just check everywhere imo.

I have State Farm for two vehicles and Tesla insurance for my model s cause it's half the price state farm quoted me. Algorithm isn't that bad. You can still have fun just can't drive like a moron. And yes following too close is driving like a moron.

@@ericjarvis3051I have Tesla insurance and its rate is very comparable to what I paid on my Sienna. I also live in California where the monitoring by Tesla is optional. I have it turned off. I had it turned for about two weeks to try it out. The most annoying thing was it would ding me for this or that but it never instructed me at the moment why it was dinging me! Fine, ding me, but damn at least tell me WHY so I can learn what the car thinks is “safe driving.” Huge flaw in the program IMHO. So I turned it off and that’s where it’s stayed.

There's more things that get factored in, some of which is beyond your control, such as the number of accidents in your area (which may mean more claims), Teslas in general being difficult to repair (which is why a lot of Teslas that get into accidents are totaled due to the high repair costs), and your age/gender (young guys in their 20's tend to get more tickets/accidents, so you get lumped in with them if you're that age even if you're an extremely safe driver). Best thing to do is shop around. I remember Progressive raised my rates a few years ago, claiming that "accidents in my area were up, so they were raising everyone's rates", but then I heard many others mention almost the same exact thing, prompting me to switch to Geico, which was half the cost. I later switched to Erie which had an even lower cost.

Your sales talents are really way too good for youtube. You are wasting your talents here. I just watched a guy with a model 3 clean the radiators and between them at 60k. It was full of road debris... caught between the 2 radiators. This must be hard on the systems especially if you live in a super hot area.

There’s a snap in screen that goes on the lower fascia that prevent that road debris from getting in there. Google and buy it and save yourself some work
