It's been about three years since I made a video about the Pi Network
and I thought be a great time to share my experience of what I think about the network since.
The Pi network is a project to make a global cryptocurrency because he called Pi and and it's also a project to make an ecosystem
around this currency today there's roughly 50 million people who mine Pi
on their phone.
The official Pi Twitter account has over 3 million followers and when I first saw this project there was a couple of reasons why I found it really interesting.
The first thing about this project that really stood out was that
it was made by very smart and recognizable academics who also went to Stanford many of you guys might have saw this article but this is what initially hooked me onto the project itself.
The second thing I liked about this project is that it had a lot of funding from very respectable and very wealthy people and according to a lot of court documents. A company was able to accumulate more than $800,000
in funding and having a lot of funding doesn't mean a project is good or bad
but it does mean that the project can survive for a very long time.
And the third and the last reason why I talked about the Pi network at all
is because of how simple it is to mine Pi. This is basically done on an app on your phone and it doesn't require any sort of money or big investment.
Instead you simply spend 5 seconds every single day to mine cryptocurrency on your phone and you basically just open the app and click a button
and for many people the goal was to accumulate as many coins as possible
and then sell these tokens.
Once the project initially launches and these are some of the things that I really enjoyed about the project and there are a couple issues and possible solution to this issue that I'm gonna talk about in the later parts of this video
but over the years this project has been accused of being a scam
and in this video I'm gonna talk about what I think about this project and how my thoughts have changed over the yearsthe first thing I wanna talk about
is whether or not Pi is actually a scam

Unfortunately, these 700k Pi will be of no use to you if you don't migrate them and don't have them in your wallet. You probably have so many Pis because you invited a lot of people. But these people should all have done KYC, otherwise you won't get these Pis in the future. At the moment you only get Pis from base rate and the Security Circle Boost as far as I know. Everything else is still to come

I think it's good that the project doesn't just throw it into the stock exchange and then tear it apart by everyone selling off their coins. The Pi developers are trying to avoid this so that something like this doesn't happen in the Pi Mainnet. Of course it's interesting how they'll do it

It is the intention of the Pi developers that the Pi Coins are used to purchase goods and services and not to sell them on the stock exchange and then convert them into dollars or euros

Liquidity is only needed on a DEX to balance out the pool. On a centralized exchange you have buyers and sellers... so liquidity, in the sense of liquidity pools, are not present on CEX exchanges. This is where Pi begins. Once the volume hits a million dollars per day, others will open up liquidity on DEX's and the coin will find its true value. Stanford grads know this. Liquidity doesnt come from core team it comes from exchanges.when the pi is listed .eg a meme coin..they are worth nothing till they get listed.because they hold consensus value.

Very few people are going to sell for .00016 or whatever number you said. Very few people who have less then 10,000 coins are going to want to sell at such a low price, and every user I’ve spoken to plans on buying more pi coin when it’s available if the price is under $5-$10.

I really doubt the project is a scam. The two apps work very well, and the entire KYC process involves development costs, takes time, and functions perfectly. No scam project would go to the trouble of creating such good development.

Its crazy how you never mentioned the countries that are doing p2p trading. Majority of the peoplewho use pi network are going to be using this for day to day. Do you have the browser app? I was able to move more to my main wallet using that app. It was confusing. Also If the people in your security circle never kyc then whatever portion you would have earned from them will not be accessible.

This hits the nail on the head perfectly for the sort of format for discussing it Don't forget, they have the option to enable ads in the app. I'm sure they have a steady ad revenue from that to prop themselves up, along with their supposed investments. Speaking of, would you be able to link the articles/interviews/etc. you found for the footage of this video? I have had a hard time finding genuine Pi content, it would be great to know where they are.
