That's just what I was thinking. I have no job and dont know how I'll feed myself and was doing uber eats on a bike and fell and broke my arm while only making a few bucks a day homeless and not able to eat a lot most days. I kept thinking there is nobody who has it worse than me and just having an absolute pool party in my own tears. But here is this guy joking breaking his neck and dying from cancer. It sucks that he is in this situation but it really made me feel like I'm not alone.

@@natalieportmanfanbundlepla6060 I hope you really do get better. Try applying for salary jobs, and make yourself appear non-homeless. Work a day, then walk back for a long time back to an area you are comfortable in hiding the fact that you are homeless if that is what's keeping you from getting a job. After a while, you'd earn enough to rent a very small apartment. And move up in this world from there. Maybe work several jobs(once you are comfortable in your rented house), so that maybe you can later afford either medical bills/schooling(aka high school/college), get a degree that's useful, and work on it. From there, you may even end up buying an apartment, and maybe even having a family or just yourself, but also meet wonderful friends along the way at college for e. g. Ik it's hard and that college is not necessarily a path for success, but it does make your life a hell easier when it comes to obtaining job opportunities. Good luck ❤

Hello fellow retired nurse!! 😊 I had to retire early (@ 55y.o.) due to chronic illness, and was deemed permanently disabled from that point on. With all of the medically related interactions we have experienced during our careers, man.....I'm sure you have stories just as I do! When we require a multidisciplinary medical team....those interactions continue and become plentiful. I can't think of the word that really suits how I feel, when I personally experience or simply see such inept, lack of compassionate care. 'Incensed'.....maybe that suits. It hits me to the core. More so when I witness it R/T others (and I don't think we have to be nurses to feel that way.....just respectable human beings!). Either way, I'm one of those who can't sit back without me saying something. It's mind boggling why people choose their professions, when they perform the way they do.

My mother in law was misdiagnosed a year ago, and went back a week ago for a second opinion after symptoms continued worsening. Unfortunately we should have sought a second opinion sooner bc what wasn't cancer, IS. So much so it has spread from her throat, to her thyroid, and more has been found in her lungs. Being an NHS doctor (or nurse, healthcare assistant etc.) is fucking rough. I have a couple of friends that have just become doctors (we’re all in our mid-20s) and some of the stories they tell me about how the system works (or doesn’t work!!!) are heartbreaking/anger-inducing. My mum works in healthcare too, so I know how draining and difficult it can be on a person. I had never even heard of thyroid cancer before my mum was diagnosed with it almost 9 years ago. Unfortunately she is no longer here, but we had 4 years with her after diagnosis, thanks to treatment that was relatively new at the time. I buried my head in the sand back then as my way of coping, and she just dealt with all the challenges and hurdles. This has given me some insight into what she went through. Without getting religious (as per your rules) we all have to go at some time and can literally go at any age during our sleep of brain aneurism as I unfortunately know someone who did, we cannot control death. What we can control however is how we use our time here. You’re using your time to educate a lot of people and already have a large following so already you’ve done things that most will never do. Dear Joe, I saw this through twitter, crappy times, sending hugs to you and your wife, sending strength for you both to be able to make good decisions to be able to move forward. Your videos matter and are extremely helpful to other people with this, (I am also going through this so you aren’t alone), just finished two weeks of radiotherapy. Oh no, my neck,it’s broken. I think about you more than once a day, and always look out for your videos. Keep going with your humour and knowledge, we all need it😊

@@lois2997 Yes, at least, in America they would. I had some chest pain after a workout, and they told me to IMMEDIATELY GET TO THE ER (ASAP). Don't change clothes, don't stop for a coke, bathroom break, etc. Get to the Hospital ASAP, and don't drive. Just stay calm and call us as you are approaching the hospital. [Yeah, true story.]

I stumbled onto your previous video. It really sucks that you've had to have things go this way. I had both grandmothers pass from cancer last year. Squeezing in that time to just see people you love, and do things together is so important, and I hope you and your loved ones are able to find your own comforts in however the end progresses. I know I found comfort in knowing that I had the time to see my grandmothers, in part because it does take time. And that it gave a chance for them to be surrounded by loved ones when they went. All ends are tragic, but there is always some kindness, some love to be found in them. Also keep up that sipping! Monitoring one of my grandmother's water intake was so important because of how easy it was for her to lose track and end up dehydrated. It's really the small things that can perk someone up and make a difference in their state of being. Sucks that healthcare seems to have it's bumbling no matter what country you're in.

Thank you so for teaching us, that whatever happen, we can adapt to a new version of ourselves. I sense that you are insulted that your body is betraying you but you seem to roll with the punches and keep moving forward. Joe, you are impressive and inspirational. Thank you for that. Everything you do on KZfaq or other platforms will help others for years to come. BIG THANK YOU ! You are a hero, and it really should be looked at in that light. Lots of people have cancer and are gone with not much of a legacy. You had the presense of mind to video and update a group for which you started. YOU ROCK ! and You are forever SPECIAL and AWESOME ! Huuuuuuuuge Thank You ! If I should ever go through anything similar, I will know that I will at least try to be 1 tenth the human being you are at heart. Okay, now for the joke......Keep your head up !.....he he he okay some might think that inoppropriate, but we have to be a little light on feelings. I really mean in a BIG WAY, Thank you and be easy on yourself. I think I would be super medicated at the point your at and knowing you have good people around you. LOVE YA fellow Martial Artist ! We both know the mental aspects of martial arts and the FIGHT ! But like a FINGER POINTING WAAAAY TO DA MOON. Even Bruce Lee would take it easy now. Be yourself and let your family know Cancer doesnt matter anymore, and its okay. What is going to happen....will happen. So go with the flow. We cant get blood out of a rock. Youve proven yourself. You dont need to prove anything further at this point except getting back to fundamentals of love of family and family time. Dont worry about us who follow you. We totally get it. On that note, there shouldnt be any pressure you feel from YT. We adore you and love you and accept you conquered a Guiness book of world record, where you cant do anything else but try to better your self in your own competition. Dont fall into the personal competition with yourself. Cancer is a Force to beholden, its a evil that the human race , not just you has not conquered. I think you should make some new memories with family, without the pressure. Mentally I think that will be a weight off your mind and should help. I am your friend and with oodles of respect for you. Be that legacy to your family on a personal level now :) its just my opinion. I have no experience to go on personally , but I have witnessed others who concentrated on family time, and they were a lot better mentally. Make it special !

I've been sitting here after watching your video trying to think what to write. I tried starting with what you wanted us to write in the comment section but I just can't start it on that note. I think you are going through all of this with incredible bravery and strength. And by all of this I mean a struggle and fight that's bigger and more scary than any war that's happened in history. Just know that you should be proud of yourself and stay with us as long as you can. You shouldn't be afraid. Not with a heart like yours, just keep thinking of tomorrow. Love ya brother.

I came across your page today, and as someone who spent a month after my 11th birthday in hospital fighting bladder cancer, and then dealt with what was feared to be stage 4 skin cancer on my ear several years ago at 56, I am in awe of how you are still managing to deal with all that has gone on with your diagnosis. You are far more inspirational than my own videos here on KZfaq! I hope that some trial unexpectedly comes up and turns out to be the magic bullet which allows you to be able to ramble on for decades more!
