Today, I go over my trip to Volo Auto Museum, where I got to check out their main museum and also saw a few animatronics, mainly the Rock-afire Explosion that now publicly performs. Huge shoutout to ‪@ShowbizMidwest‬ for becoming the tech for this show and getting it ready to be shown publicly. I also went to the Chuck E. Cheese in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

All of the other animatronic characters are planned to be restored, the King and King Cat being restored first due to how bad of a condition they are in. Once they are restored the others will be worked on iirc

It was really cool to see The Rock-afire Explosion in person! It was definitely worth the 6 hour drive from Michigan to see it. I might be back in September.

What if idea! : What if they retrofitted 2 characters into chuck e cheese and they kept Billy Bob during Concept unification (Yes that would mean creative engineering would supply them parts because they kept Billy Bob)

I actually live in Milwaukee and didn't know that Chuck E Cheese still had their animatronics 😂 But I actually just visited Volo myself on Sunday! I've never seen a RAE show in person so it was super exciting, definitely will be going back, I was thinking about taking a multi-day trip to West Virginia to visit Billy Bob's Wonderland but now it feels unnecessary thanks to Volo.

I went to the milwaukee location and asked a worker why the amtronics were aired down, and he said the air compressor broke

Wow, nice trip there to the Volo Auto Museum (and coincidently as this in the Chicago metropolitan area, I live in this greater area) and the Chuck E. Cheese location in Milwaukee, WI, as I was on vacation in late-May to early-June, I was traveling to New York City and going on a cruise to Bermuda from Royal Caribbean at the time of you going to the Volo Auto Museum and the Chuck E. Cheese location in Milwaukee, WI (this location I saw in the past when viewing from I-94).

Gosh, those pirates look freaking awful mechanically. They used to move a LOT more, so it sucks that they've degraded to that point. And I agree that their showtape doesn't really... work. Glad you got to see a lot of Rockafire stuff though! I'm sure ShowbizMidwest is gonna do a great job keeping them in much better shape than the other unfortunate shows

It would have been a 3 hour detour, and when I’m traveling 12 hours one way to either my destination or house, that’s the kind of detour I can’t make unfortunately.

There’s also another cool animatronic band in Illinois called the jammin jesters they’re an animatronic band that are at a arcade called enchanted castle You should check them out if you’re interested.

That was the other Milwaukee location which closed in 1995, this location opened as a Pizza Time Theatre.

@@ItzaRob it contained a rare extra room in the way back of the store full of all the old 90s posters and booths also the bots from that store ended up at Columbia sc Chuck E. Cheese and the valence for the stage ended up at pineville location
