The thing about Spider man 2 is that we had such high standards after the first game back in 2018 which was perfection

I used to be a diehard Assassin's Creed fan, but Ubisoft has ran that franchise into the ground and I can’t bring myself to care about it that much anymore. Not to mention all the horrible behind-the-scenes stuff at Ubisoft over the past decade.

I was big into smash bros for awhile and I think the draw is big group party for a bit but the way I never got bored is once you get pretty good you unlock the deeper part of the game, each character plays very different and with different strategies. It keeps its “new feel” for a long time that way. But if you don’t care to do that then ya you’ll get bored fast. So I get it

The thing about Smash Bros is that although it isn’t promoted as a party or coop game, it is very much a party game. The fun and enjoyment of the game comes from playing with friends in person (not online) and fighting each other while having shits and giggles. You can change the rules and format the game to how your liking so that each experience is something new. However, I will agree with Wyatt about how the game can get boring when you are playing the game ALONE. I wouldn’t want to sit there by myself playing Smash for 3 hours straight either.

My reactions 1. Haven't played but from what I've heard I'd agree, good story, still fun mechanics, short AF 2. Agreed, it has an audience, but to me its boring af 3. I agree, I don't think 2d Mario is bad and it can be fun, just mega repetitive 4. Agreed as well, I am majorly a casual gamer, I want strategy and to think, but theres a line, and when I have to try 50 times to kill one boss, that isn't fun. Especially since as you mentioned I have to do it over and over with just another boss. 5. Haven't played newer CODs 6. Disagree, for me Smash Bros is a game that needs to be played with friends. Its fun to play with 2-4 people all around a couch just talking shit and messing around. Thats the appeal of it, not the solo player experience. I agree that battling AI over an over is boring, but its like Mario Party. The point is to play it with people. 7. I see both takes here. Destiny is a very grindy game with a lose story, but I played it with friends and had fun then. I enjoy the sense of getting better. Its not a game that is something I'd play for hours on end, but it can be fun if done with ppl 8. Disagree, I haven't played much but I enjoy simulating basketball. I also like basketball and play it a lot irl so maybe thats why I enjoy it more. The shooting can be frustrating but it is also realistic. If it is a simulation basketball game you can't have a 70 overall center draining 3's 9. That is literally my exact take, all of them are just alright that I've played except black flag and Vallahala 10. Completely agree

Yeah I can get you on Elden Ring as a veteran of the Souls series. It isn't for everyone though I will say the amount of bosses that fit how you describe it is more DS2 and Elden Ring since they have more bosses than the rest. I'm kind of shocked you didn't mention how tough some of the enemies are to the point that they are more difficult than the bosses themselves at times. Also I wouldn't really call Tekken a button mashing sim fighting game like Smash and stuff like that since there are only a few characters you can fully get away that kind of playstyle but maybe fighting games aren't for you

I thought spider man 2 was kinda underwhelming, I didn’t love the story, Miles felt like a side character for most of the game, and by the end of the game I was just playing it to just get to the end of the game.

I was so happy when you said all the souls games and smash because I've always felt the same way and it's so nice that other people actually aren't just sucking the dick of that game. However lets be real zelda should be up here its basically the same game as assassin's creed, horizon dawn, far cry, lord of the rings, and a million other games. There's so many games where it's like open world climb towers. Explore the map. Parkour and fight enemies with random quest givers. How many games are in that exact style and format? I mean I could really list at least 10 to 15

Aside from Elden Ring (since I've been playing the souls series from the start), agree with every one on this list. I think Diddy Kong Racing is one of the most overrated games I have played so far in my life. The sad thing is, I know it’s better than other racing games on the N64 maybe even better than Mario Kart 64. I love the unique character roster, the ability to race in other vehicles, other game modes and a 2 whole story modes with bosses! But all of that is shit on by some of the worst controls I’ve ever felt in a racing game in my life. No matter how many times I’ve played this game I can’t get used to them, specifically when it comes to making turns you’re always either steering too sharp or not sharp enough, there is no consistency. Other complaints is that some of the items can be just completely useless and the difficulty spike is all over the place making it an unbearable experience. Diddy Kong Racing: Overrated
