This was so relaxing - the perfect way to pass the time on a Sunday afternoon! I realized, while watching, that I don't have any matte reds in my collection. The closest I have is Russian Red from MAC, which I love. But I need a good sophisticated matte red. My favorite that you showed was the Armani, so maybe I'll start there! It's so nice to see someone featuring red lipstick. It's a personal favorite. For a more mature person, I wear a more dewy foundation/tinted moisturizer. It makes my skin appear more youthful and the look more effortless. Your nail polish is a perfect shade of red for me. It's so flattering on you. Thank you for the video

I lovvve a red lip. 💋 From true red, to orange, to berry, to deep. And now I have found more to add to my collection 😁😁 Thank you so much for this video! I can't wait for the others in this collection. (Also, I love your top! It is soo gorgeous! 😍) My red lip req is, and I know you said you don't really prefer liquid lipsticks, but I really like the Sephora liquid lipsticks, they are really good & long-lasting. My favorite red is 01 but on their website, they don't have that number but the range is much greater now than it was a few years ago. 💄

I am looking for the perfect red lipstick that isn’t blue-based. Maybe it’s the lighting, but most of these shades look warm-toned to me. They all are pretty on you, but the Estee Lauder in Irrepresible is beautiful on you. You picked some beautiful shades! I love your accent! It is beautiful!

Who better to get fed lipstick advice from than a French lady? I generally don't like wearing lipstick. I've recently gone through my ridiculously huge make-up collection and I've realised I have more red lipstick than any other colour. I'm 55 and I've decided that I'm going to start wearing red lipstick. With the pronunciation of RMS, the R is pronounced as ah, as in the French word argent. But honestly, I love how you say it, as I'm learning French, so I appreciate learning how I would say it during French conversation. Subscribed.

So many great reds! I think the only one we have the same in our lists are the Lisa Eldridge one and I had Starwoman from Nars. but I’ve never tried any of the others you shared...and red lipstick is my favorite.

Great video! I really liked the Dior shade you used at the end. A couple of red colors that I love and would recommend, if you haven't tried them already: bareMinerals Gen Nude Liquid Lipstick in Naughty (maybe more difficult for you to find, as I remember you saying that they're not selling bareMinerals in France anymore), Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso, and Marc Jacobs Beauty Lip Creme in Miss Scarlett (this one is more of a dark red that I would wear in winter). Truthfully, I'm more into sheer lip color lately, but I also love a red lip on occasion and am equally guilty of having a ton of red lipsticks in my box! ;)

Love this...thank you!!! I am considering trying a red lipstick....lol I am nervous because I have lips that are sort of blue/purple shaded not a nice pink like yours! Also your lips seem very smooth ~ at 62 my lips have some wrinkles! Does that matter? I know that the make up artists at Macy's will tell me "no", but I would love your opinion! Thank you for this video, really great idea! I wanted to ask you if you have a 'rule' on expiry date, other than changes in texture/smell. I guess that when you have many products (and I'm in the same boat here :D) you can't really stick to the 6 or 12 monthes declared by the brand...

I personally continue to wear lipsticks over the expiry time. 3 to 5 years for creamy products and 5 to 7 years for powder. For foundation I am more careful only 2 years max ! But I am not an expert so this is only my personal experience. If you have allergies or sensitive skin, it is better to respect the expiry time indicated!

I've only tried NARS powermatte and after a big night out of numerous cocktails, wine and food, it still looked like the beginning of the night, each time i went to the bathroom expecting to have to touch up, i was surprised it hadnt budged, and no ring around your lips.

I think the Nars power matte have the best staying power of this bunch. If I line my lips with a lip pencil (and colour in whole lip, not just outside line) and apply with a stif lip brush, the Nars stays all day and all night for me

Bilingual speaker here! The letter 'R' spoken in French (like when you say the alphabet) is "eeehrr" as opposed to "aaahrr" in English. That's why RMS got mistaken for Hermes. Merci pour les vidéos ma belle, je souhaite que vous êtes bien et en bonne santé!

Oui j’aimerais vraiment avoir un meilleur accent et un meilleur anglais. Je sais que pour beaucoup de français je ne suis pas légitime à faire des vidéos en anglais. J’ai commencé à l’étranger d’où la raison de mes vidéos en anglais. Et aujourd’hui mon audience est quasi que anglophone. Merci en tout cas je vais m’entraîner pour la prononciation du R 😊 ( ça m’aide ce genre de commentaire constructif 😉😘)

Also, hesitated a lot with the Chanel that I love ! My favorites are the matte one. They are not the most long lasting ( that’s why) but love them too ofcourse 💙

Yes lots of blue undertone red :) except also for the RMS Red which is on the orange side. But they are my favorites so 🤗🙃

Honestly I was never seen many women wear much makeup while I was living in France. Even now when I go to our French office in Paris, I hardly ever see anyone with detectable makeup. Never understood where the conception of "French red lip" came from. I see loads of women wearing red in Italy, UK and the US, never really in France. Mystere! On a related note, Chanel reds are my favorites.

I live in Paris and I am French and I can tell you that all my friends wear red lipstick 🤗 But yes for example they never wear foundation only bronzing powder a little bit of concealer and some days a red lipstick ✨
