The water and the recycling system! Sweden is amazing at tending to their garbage. Watch my video to understand more. If we all looked at our selves and how we live and change ONE thing, we can make a huge impact on our earth. Knowledge is power and TOGETHER we can make quick shifts! www.asanilssonlifecoach.com

Everything is not necessarily recycled at the recycling station. But they do make sure it does not end up in a landfill or cause nature/the people harm. If it is not recycled then it is usually burned to "recycle" the energy. Sweden has a borderline flawless infrastructure for burning waste.

I can't *fall* in love with Sweden, because... I am *already* in love, and will certaunly move there when I get the opportunity. ❤

Actually Sweden does not buy trash, we get payed to take other countries trash. Mainly from UK and Norway. We use this to create energy for households. Heating/electricity etc.

I stand corrected. I just asked my husband again and he said we import trash from other countries, we do not pay for the imported trash. I must have misunderstood him. Thanks for clearing that up.

@@asanilsson There are a very small number of Swedish speakers in Idaho Falls where I live, Spanish is widely spoken. My father’s parents spoke Swedish as a first language but they are long dead. My father (also dead) forgot his Swedish first chance he got. There are several other Swedish speakers in my immediate family. Growing up I spent a lot of time on farfar and farmors farm where I was strongly inoculated in Swedish culture and language. I have all my life felt a very strong tie to Sweden (I am a US citizen by birth) and was able to live there for a number of years. I continue to visit. I listen to radio stations in Sweden via the internet. I have a friend in Norway who I communicate with every few days via email, he writes in Norwegian and I use Swedish (he does speak excellent English). I also belong to some Swedish groups like “Vi som bor i USA och gillar svensk mat och vill utbyta tips”. For whatever it is worth, I am 76 years old and my DNA is 70% Swedish. I am finding your KZfaq material to be very interesting and look forward to future material. Hejdå!!

@@ahuman1058 Thanks for this. I love hearing about other cool humans and how they are connected to Sweden. You have more Swedish in you than I do and I was born here! I love all that DNA stuff too! Your group sounds fun, what's your favourite Swedish dish? Do you like to cook? I wonder if you've heard of Flygande Jakob? All the Americans that try it absolutely love it. I understand about feeling a strong tie to Sweden, i always had that too. It was like an itch that wouldn't go away. And now I mostly forget that I am in Sweden since it is so similar to the US now. Alas... I choose to stay. have a nice day and thank you for writing! All the best. KRAM, Åsa

Very interesting , that you moved to the US as a kid and back as an adult. Did you move to the US with your parents and did they move back to Sweden before you? If so ,you must have recognised many cultural traits of your parents when you moved to Sweden after growing up in a Swedish household, even though it was in the USA.Did you find it familiar? Living in the UK I've seen and read alot about 3rd world immigration into Sweden and how its affecting the country,is it being overwhelmed? I'd hate to think an almost perfect society is being compromised because of political weakness. I haven't made it to Sweden yet, but you're making it sound Great, and you havent even mentioned Swedish girls !😉 I wonder if that's been blown out of all reality!

Hey there thanks for writing. I always knew I would move back to Sweden as an adult, I just didn't know it would happen when it did (I thought I would be retirement age). No, my parents never returned I am the only one in my family that came back. Interestingly enough I always felt like I was a Swede when I lived in the US and when I returned to Sweden I felt like an American. HA! No such thing as a perfect society and Sweden's immigration issues have finally improved as someone got it into their heads that we can not possibly accept every single person into the country as they also have to eat, work, live, and integrate. And naturally that takes huge amounts of resources. Sweden is clean, the people are polite and friendly and nearly everyone speaks English so I would recommend a visit for anyone that wants to experience a country that offers a bit of everything. Happy New Year.

Obviously, you're reading inflammatory right-wing news sources. Overwhelmed?? Nonsense. There are pockets of trouble certainly, Gothenburg, Malmo, and some parts of Stockholm but it's quite alright. I am from New York City and while I don't go to those areas, nothing that I haven't heard of that I didn't see in NYC or Luton or Manchester so it's quite tame compared to back home. Come and see for yourself instead of being an armchair critic, you might like it. I have been here for 10 years and love it. If immigrants are not properly integrated then there will be long-term problems. The integration process over the past 15 years left a lot to be desired unfortunately but the people from the 3rd world are hardly the culprits. A lot of East European gangs and drugs are doing a rife business here (Yes, white people; sorry to burst your bubble).
