When I first bought Grandia II for the Dreamcast, I was at my dad's for the weekend and sadly away from my console. Thankfully, the game came with a music disc, and this song gave me a taste of what was to come. Grandia II was outstanding from start to finish, and is to this day the best RPG I have ever played. Also... CAM CLARKE'S VOICE OMG HOT!

Grandia. Another series that always has heart-grabbing music. Loved Grandia 1-3. I hope there's a Grandia 4 someday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this game. It was one of those games in wich I actually liked to do battles, thanks to the battle system, AND this awesome battle theme. Good #1 choise indeed! And now I feel like playing this game again :P thats always with good game music, if you hear the music you automaticly feel like playing the game again. ^^

Grandia II Is such an AMAZING rpg. When I first started playing, I was instantly hooked, all the way to the end too. ^_^

aw, my personal fave is "The Arrow was shot" from tales of the abyss. This one is really great though. This makes me remember all the little battle sound effects

This, to me, is still the best RPG regular battle them ever since I first heard it when I played the game on DC. Over time, some songs got close, but none ever took its place as best. I completely agree with your choice.

I can see why you put this as #1. 8D I've played Grandia 3, but I kept getting underleveled throughout the game, and couldn't finish it. I LOVED its music, though.

Grandia 2 had the best battle theme ever!

I can almost hear the characters yellings when attacking ! OFF TO THE CREMATORIUM! or SHOCKING! POSITIVELY SHOCKING! millenia is the best btw :D

I got really far in Grandia II (I think it was the final time you had to travel through the world map to fight Melfice), but decided I didn't like it that much. There was a little too much cliché in it. I was expecting everything that happened. Out of the cast I only really liked Millennia, too. Admittedly this is a great song and the music in the game is good in general. I love how at some points it sounds just like the battle theme from the first disc of Grandia 1.

Some are in the wrong order but... Still great.

I'd like to chip in a few suggestions; the equally catchy "Attack With Conviction!!" from Grandia III, "Don't Be Afraid" from FFVIII, "Blinded By Light" from FFXIII, "Battle 1" from Chrono Trigger, "Hand in Hand" from Kingdom Hearts, "Fight Against Monsters (Longer version)" from Super Mario RPG, "Mass Destruction" from Persona 3,"The Arrow Was Shot" from Tales of the Abyss, :"Battle 2" from Shenmue Online, "Blue Radiance" from Radiant Historia. All these have pretty decent beats :)

I couldn't get into the 3rd one. Battle system rocks and graphics are nice. Everything else is pretty meh to me.

Just like the story. In fact, almost everything but the upgraded battle system was forgettable in that game. They dropped the ball with it. Grandia 2 was amazing and is, imo, the best of the series.

Especially the music... all the songs in G3 are forgettable. :/
