Hey guys it'sa me, tiago the french inline skater and today i'll suggest you some skates ;) website links : www.locoskates.com/ roex.es/ www.proskatersplace.ca/ www.nomadeshop.com/ www.inlinewarehouse.com/
@@osamabinlagging3511 without watchihg the video, I can tell you: the best skate is going to depend a lot on your foot shape. If you have a wide foot, Rolerblade models are out of the question. I think Powerslide as well. FR/Seba is going to be your best option. On the other hand, if you have a narrow foot, Seba/FR is going to be way too roomy and your foot is gonna have too much wiggle room, so you are gonna want a Rollerblade/powerslide. HAve no experience with Flying Eagle so I can't comment.

Eywua yeah I had a crappy recreational pair for my first skates, cheap, just to try it out, but my next pair were FR1 80's, I love them. I now have two of them, the 2015 and 2016 model, (one with a flat setup and one rockered), and I have a pair of the FR1 310. Can't beat them. Almost everybody I see starts on the Seba FRX and then eventually move up to the FR1 or FR3. I'd also recommend these skates and do when I'm asked about what skates they should get. The Hardcore Evo look like brilliant skates too, although not on this list as they are more advanced skates

I had a pair of skates when I was younger that I picked up at a yard sale, always wanted a decent pair but could never justify the cost when i would of just grew out of them soon anyways. My only issue is that I have wide feet and if I'm not comfortable in the skates then I'm not going to have an enjoyable time with them. Online reviews recommend the SEBA FR1 because they have a wider boot but the local sports stores don't sell that brand. I can order online but if the skate doesn't fit then I am paying extra shipping costs to get replacements. What would you recommend?

What exactly makes a skate a beginner skate or advanced skate? I'm getting into this new hobby and I love the list but I would like to understand why they are good beginner choices
@TiagoInlineSkater4 жыл бұрын
interesting question! so, if we take the example of freeride/freestyle skates, the beginner ones wouldn't be as expensive as the more advanced ones! the materials wouldn't be as stiff ( and/or fancy) as the more advanced models too; so the beginner ones would be more forgiving for the user than the advanced models which is actually great when learning the basics; but it doesn't mean the skates are less capable! but when the skater improves, their needs can change too! then you can find more advanced skates with improved stiffness, lighter and more rigid materials like carbon fibre! and since you'll start to have an improved ballance you can use fancier materials too ( like "leather" boots etc ) so the prices could go way higher! so I wouldn't recommend a beginner to use extremely stiff and expensive skates to start out cause they may be extremely uncomfortable for the user, and all the falls will damage the skates, and it would be sad after spending so much for such skates :( for example, in my last video, I tested some pro skates, the FR Igor, and there are the typical example of extremely stiff skates; many beginners tried to start with them, and most of them sold them short after! :/

I hate buckles on my FR1s cant get top buckle tight enough(or it wont hold if i do) and have to use long laces and wrap them around cuff for extra holding power. 45 degree are even worse! they are too short - had to replace half of them with smaller size straps. Actually I wish I had Velcro 45 deg instead. And no, I did not buy wrong size. I just feel that seba dropped the ball with their buckling system. Other than that I love them. If I was purchasing first pair of skates right now I would also pick FRX + metal buckle for top strap. I found Imperials extremely uncomfortable and Twisters seemed too expensive - didn't even try them on.

I believe that AGGRESIVE SKATES ARE BY FAR THE BEST SKATES FOR BEGINNERS.....!!i dont know about the existence or the ability to add the heel brake..but im A NEWBIE...and i have both...ones with 58 wheels and ones with 82mm...the difference is night and day.. 1.aggressive skates with small whells provide one trillion million quadrilion times GREATER BALANCE AND MANOEUVRALITY OVER THE FITNESS ONES OR THE ONES WITH JUST LARGER WHEELS 80MM AND ABOVE..ITS SO MUCH EASIER TO LEARN THE ESSENTIAL OF INLINE SKATING AND THEN IF YOU WANT SPEED OR EASIER STARTING..BLA ...BLA..TAKE FITNESS OR OTHERS.... 2.THE SMALL AGGRESSIVE WHEELS HAVE A MUCH MORE FLAT AND WIDE CONTACT SURFACE IN COMPARISON WITH THE LARGE FITNESS THAT ARE FAR MORE CURVED WITH AN ALMOST ''POINTY'' EDGE....!! 3.THE AGGRESSIVE ONES ARE SLOWER SOMETHING WHICH IS CRUCIAL WHEN YOU ARE A BEGINNER..THEY DEMAND GREATER EFFORT TO START ...SO YOU CAN HAVE OVERALL BETTER CONTROL.... 4.BY CONSTRUCTION AND SPEAKING GENERALLY ..BECAUSE THE AGGRESSIVE ONES ARE MADE FOR ABUSE AND TRICKS..THEY TEND TO BE STIFFER ...SOMETHING YOU WANT IF YOU ARE A COMPLETE BEGINNER... thats all..again im a beginner but this is my opinion..stay in smaller wheels...gain all the tricks and essentials with them and then move to larger wheels.. the only drawback i can find is that the smaller wheels dont behave equally so well as the larger ones on uneven surfaces so you have a rougher ride also...but if the terrain is ok...there is no problem....!!!its like comparing an enduro.. on-off 21'' wheel with a 17'' street one ...on bikes!!! ive read that in early 90s the max and the average wheel diameter were much lower than it is today...i dont know if the composite materials helped make frames and wheels stronger so you can easily see 100-110 mm wheels or its just a trend...the fact remains...your first steps will be on a good surface i assume...so the much smaller wheels are unbeatable for control and balance!!!! the only thing that i mentioned is the absence of heel brake ...but you can learn the t stop fast with them.. AND WHEN YOU LEARN T STOP AS NEWBIE NEVER EVER TRY TO MAKE A 90 DEGREE STOP...FORMIN AN L....AS SO MANY TUTORIALS MENTION...TRY A MUCH SMALLER ANGLE..THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST TUTORIAL TO LEARN THE T STOP..WHEN YOU MASTER IT YOU WILL EVENTUALLY COME TO THE 90 DEGREE ANGLE !!! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7WCmJtmsarLf58.html THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS..YOU MAKE US LEARN....!!!

Hi, I'm a bit late but... Are those Freeride 3 that new oxelo hard boot model?? I've just found them on the Decathlon website, I think they call them "freeride mf500". I know Decathlon is shit and blah blah blah... But they seem to have standard mounted, replaceable and laterally adjustable frames!! That alone (if they're standard mounted for real...) puts them on a quality level way above their price. Specially for the potential of upgrading them when needed... Replaceable adjustable frames, hard boot, shock eraser, sliders, etc... For less than 90 Euros!! I really would appreciate any well informed reviews on them, past the Decathlon prejudice... Since we're talking about entry level skates, and given their characteristics, I think many of us low budget skaters would and will appreciate non-prejudiced well informed reviews on those MF500. Even if they're really shit 😎😉

I’m guilty of getting skates for Christmas. The Soichiro Kanashima (the older grey ones) was too good to pass up from Valo. As for the beginner blades, I would also recommend Seba for freeride. Given the model, there are tons of things to customize on them. I have to hand it to Seba when it comes to customization, that do that in spades. I was also looking into the twister as they look quite nice and reasonable specs but I have yet to really commit to the idea of a secondary pair of blades. Feels like I’m cheating on my girlfriend in a way XD.

In Denmark I can buy these:- Fila 17 NRK JP Sr. -CRUZ URBAN STREET RACER -K2 BROADWAY URBAN -K2 Midtown Urban -Powerslide next 80 freeskates Which are the most comfortable ones?

Have you tried changing the liner? I don't know about the others but I heard Powerslide Next are very comfy. Still, no better way to find out what works best for you than going to a physical store to try them on. Look for Ricardo Lino's "Powerslide NEXT Inline Skates REVIEW"; Nov. 2018.

@@izzyg8316 Thanks. I didn't know i could change the liner. That would probably solve the problem. I'll watch the video. I have heard good about "the next". Sadly it'll cost me around 100 euros to get to the nearest physical store with that kind of skates.

@@rasmuskaysenkier834 No prob. :) See if you can fit one of Powerslides's "MYFIT" liners in your FRs since that's what makes the Next so comfy. I feel your pain. I would have to travel to my neighbor country, Spain, in order to try on some skates; we don't have a physical inline skating store in my country. Sucks b@lls. :/

Excellent video. I'm a beginner/improver and got my first skates (Seba FR2) in July, and I'm very happy with them and loving skating! They came with Street Kings wheels which I'll need to replace fairly soon - I'm hoping Santa is bringing me a skate voucher! Can anyone tell me the difference between Street Kings and Street Invaders, or have any recommendations for my next set of wheels? I think the 85A hardness is about right for me. Thanks! - Merci.

I gotta ask... Is there actually ANY difference between male and female skate models? Or is that just some marketing BS?

Have you just said that imperial are better than metropolis or I understood it wrong? Have you ever had any of this skates? Look to prior models gamma frame vs betta frame, liners in metro was also always better comparing with imperial. Just everything... Btw it's not always good to recommand quite expensive ($150-$200) skates as the first. I know many people who bought and used their imperial pro or even ultron twice and than left it on a shelf said "hmm that's not good sport for me".

would love to get these skates but most of them don’t seem to be in smaller sizes...i’m a us size 4-5 in womens :/ the only kind of skates are youth skates that probably aren’t as good and don’t come in cooler styles :((
