Uhm this is the first time I am watching your channel I would love it if you don't talk or play so much emphasis on hair type That doesn't determine so much as much as hair porosity. Thank you because I was really understanding and happy about watching this but you were talking about 4a 3a it's not the best yeah Because for long I thought that mattered no it really doesn't please thank you because now I don't know how whether to use it on my high porosity or not.
@ShawntasWay
@ShawntasWay 3 жыл бұрын
Me and my daughter both have low porosity hair..yet products sometimes work differently on our hair because we have different textures and hair types so in reality those things do matter. Another example a friend has 3b-3c curls low porosity but her curls are a lot finer and curlier than mine and she can’t use as much oils and product as I do. Having the same porosity doesn’t determine if products would work the same. Mentioning hair types and thickness isn’t a bad thing

I started using The Innate Life's prepoo products in June of this year, after seeing a video where you mentioned the brand. I have a mix of 3 and 4 type hair, low porosity, and the mask alone does not do much. But when I pair it with Aloe Vera Gel it works beautifully on my hair texture. I seal in the moisture with the 🌹 Elixir. The sensation that the scalp treatment gives is amazing. It is quite pricey but since I have tried growing my hair out for 10 years now and still have yet to reach my goal I figured I would do something different, so I began incorporating high end products. But also my hair is recovering from heat damage as well as a result of being a participant of salon tests for my previous employer.

There are multiple reasons why I don't take supplements: 1) There are plenty of people who have achieved their hair goals without them, and it has been proven that the hair can grow at the same rate with or without them. That is, unless someone has a serious dietary deficiency. No doctor has told me that I have any deficiencies thus far. 2) I already spend enough money on hair products as it is, that would just add another expense that I don't need. 3) Hair growth and length retention are correlated, and when your hair is being taken care of you can retain length. Likewise, when one is not retaining length it's usually a mechanical issue moreso than dietary. For instance, not using shampoo regularly, excessive use of heat, avoiding intense protein treatments, hard water, following other people's routines without acknowledging that certain things don't work for one's particular porosity or texture, only using low quality products, or doing too much DIYing, etc. These are all things that have stunted my growth in the past, and once I began intentionally addressing these issues within the last 2 years, my hair has been flourishing. 4) I have noticed that most people who take supplements just want to speed up the process and when they reach their hair goals one of a few things end up happening. Either they cut it all off, they get a relaxer, or they become a straight natural. This is especially true, when they don't have the looser curl patterns. My belief is that they got accustomed to not dealing with their hair for long periods of time, when keeping it in protective styles (wigs, braids, buns, etc). To me it makes more sense to not wear my hair in protective styles just to grow it out, but rather enjoy my hair and the process of growing it out no matter how long it may be. So when I do reach my goal I can easily manage due to the fact that I've been managing all along as the growth appeared gradually. This enables me to better pinpoint what actually helped my hair to grow rather than doing everything under the sun and then making a lengthy youtube video saying all the things I think helped my hair to grow but I don't really know because I was doing too much stuff to begin with...need I say more? 5) If I supplement in any way it would be with things that are actually considered food or are meal replacements (I.e. MSM, Collagen, or protein shakes) so I won't waste my money. 6) Biotin whether I've taken it in pill, gummy, or liquid form has always caused breakouts for me no matter how much water I drink. 7) I'm too preoccupied with other things to remember to take supplements everyday. I usually do good for a week or two and then stop. 8) I'm just a rebel and I have never been one to follow trends. I went natural before it was popular and I'll still be wearing it in its natural state predominantly after most people go back to relaxers or become straight naturals. Sorry for the lengthy reply but I just wanted to make a point and show that supplements in many cases are just a bandaid they don't address the root cause.

Hello SW, Thank you for these tips. What remedy, if any, can you suggest for scarring in the hair follicles? This may or may not be why my hair, a natural afro, has been stuck at 5 inches of length for years now. I just don't ever get any new growth (so it's not the case that my hair grows but then breaks off). I have tried all manner of masks and mixes on a regular basis too. Weaves and extensions don't work either. Can you think why my hair just doesn't grow (if follicle damage is not the problem) and what I can do about it? TIA (if you reply).

I'm so glad that you did this video. I've never heard of some of these products. So it's nice to be introduced to new brands th as t I can look into. I do have a question though. Is the Shea Moisture raw shea butter just raw shea butter? I only asked because I've seen so many videos on how to make a shea body butter or shea butter for the hair. And each one has other ingredients added. I've often wondered if they just can't take the shea butter itself, umwhip it with a mixer and use it as is? Though I have heard that it has a distinctive smell. I recently bought mango butter to make a body butter with. Though I'll use it on my arms, legs and feet it was mostly bought to use on my hands. I have lived in a state that gets really cold and sometimes snows during the winter, which I enjoy. I'm a cold weather kinda girl. But shortly after moving here I had dry patches on my face that I've never had before. I had heard good things about rose hip seed oil. So I used that for over 3 months but it didn't help. So I read that argan oil and jojoba oil are the closest to our skin's natural sebum. So I bought jojoba oil and the dry patches went away. But the skin on my hands get really dry and sore. So I was hoping mango butter mixed with jojoba oil and avocado oil will help. But I may give your oil a try. You didn't say it could be used on hands. But I really want my soft hands back. Also I'm the one that said I used to sit at night with my eyes closed, focus on breathing deeply and visualize the next day. And the day would go exactly how I pictured it. And that I'd talked with a friend about it. And my friend also used to do that. But neither one of us knew what it was called. You said it was the law of attraction. Is it possible that you can do a video about that? Because I thought the law of attraction was putting things on a vision board and practicing gratitude for each thing. And since I've made a vision list since 2017 and a vision board since 2018 and haven't received not one thing. It's clear to me that I'm obviously not doing it right. And I'll admit that I've been frustrated by it. A little girl at my church put Dora the explorer skates, knee pads and a backpack on hers and someone left them all on her doorstep. Another child wanted a new bedroom set. And a stranger approached her parents and bought it for her. And she didn't even tell her parents that was on her vision list and board. So again, I must not be doing this right. And I could use a little help. Please consider making a video about it? P.s sorry for the extra long comment.

Hair growth - Start your day with at least 2 eggs for breakfast. Eggs are a nice source of protein, which helps promote hair growth. Additionally, try to have 1 cup of yogurt. They are also loaded with vitamins and minerals, which promote hair growth and also keep it shiny and beautiful. In the evening, apply reactivate hair growth serum of liitllextra as it has rosemary and various ingredients. This works all the time.

Great video Thanks. So..I just wanna start out by saying..where I live there's no hair store, and any hair place around here is literally for only white people or "white people hair" as she said. Get where I'm going with this..? So...Amazon has been my go-to and tysm for this video education process or getting my hair grew out!!
